Fun atmosphere right on the beach, but also a covered veranda. The cuisine is carefully prepared with fresh ingredients. I recommend the eggplant sticks with gorgonzola cream...a delicious treat, and the spaghetti with lobster!

We went for lunch today, recommended by a friend. I must say it was highly recommended. I've tried other restaurants in Fregene over the years, and at Patio, I found the food excellent and the service unmatched. We had both raw and cooked appetizers, first and second courses, all top-notch... One dish in particular I recommend, and I absolutely loved the grilled calamari with creamed potatoes... wonderful. And thanks to Federica for her advice on everything.

Review update!! We went a second time and had a much better experience. The service was fast, food came timely. We tried the oysters which were perfect, a pasta, and grilled calamari. Food was hot and flavorful. We have taken our 3 stars to a 4. Previous review to follow: Started weak with a longgggg time to take our order. We tried flagging down staff multiple times. Clearly they are understaffed. The calamari as a starter was delicious. Perfectly cooked and salted. I had the tuna and it was ice cold. Sister had octopus, also ice cold. Too bad because both were tasty but ruined served cold. Husband and brother had spaghetti vongole which was delicious for them. This came out 3-4mins after ours. Clearly the timing of their cooking and dish delivery is all off. We were there a total of 3 hours for a Saturday lunch. Obnoxious. The staff doesn't look you in the eye. I wonder if they are happy to be there? To even be alive? Poor customer service. I will definitely never return to this restaurant, not impressed at all.

A very welcoming and unique place in its simplicity, with small details that demonstrate care and attention. We had lunch outside right on the beach thanks to a beautiful sunny day. All the dishes were excellent, from starters to desserts. Beautifully executed and presented, and excellent ingredients. Attentive, courteous staff A great discovery, we'll definitely be back.
