Il Pangolino In Casale monferrato

Ero curioso di provare un ristorante veg e devo dire che mi sono trovato molto bene, tanto da esserci tornato pochi giorni dopo. A pranzo c'è un menu del giorno ma si può anche scegliere dalla carta. Una buona scelta di piatti, anche un carnivoro ne può uscire sazio. Il locale è molto carino e il servizio è ottimo. Prezzi nella media, merita una visita.

Excellent vegan and gluten-free cuisine!!!

Place discovered a bit by chance two years ago and what can I say...now all the most beautiful occasions are celebrated here. The place is super special and unique, the staff very kind and helpful in explaining dishes and combinations. The menu often has innovative proposals, but maintains the "strong points" that are always nice to find. Always super satisfied and happy that there is a place that does excellent quality plant-based cuisine.

March 2025 dinner. My wife and I are not vegan, but we appreciate vegetable-based dishes. We attended a dinner with friends, attracted by the company. The place is particular and charming, set in a historical context. The dishes were well presented, even if the menu was difficult to interpret for those who are not experts in vegan cuisine. I tasted some of the other diners' dishes and found them acceptable, considering that they were attempts to imitate traditional dishes. Personally, I opted for a dish that I thought was based only on vegetables and carbohydrates, but the only one that fully satisfied me was the breaded porcini mushroom. The caponata wasn't a real caponata: too sweet, you could only taste the raisins. The Venus rice with vegetables had a sauce that, in the long run, was cloying. The chocolate dessert was very strong and dense, given the absence of butter and milk, as expected in vegan cuisine. I found the service not very empathetic and, the icing on the cake, when the place was now empty, we asked to separate the bill for the drinks that a guest wanted to offer for his birthday, but we were told that "separate bills are not available on Fridays and Saturdays". I would have liked to find some more traditional vegetable-based dishes, given that Italian cuisine offers a wide choice."

We were invited to this cute restaurant by omnivorous friends who respect our vegan choice. We had a very good time, excellent service, excellent food and a lot of friendliness from the staff. It will be our restaurant every time we are in those parts and since our friends have just bought a house in Casorzo, it means that we will become regular customers.

Everything we ordered was delicious! I sometimes shy away from vegan restaurants because I think the food won't be tasty. So glad I took a chance with Il Pangolino! Definitely will go again next time I'm in town.

Locale molto accogliente, cibo ottimo, personale disponibile, gentilissimo. Unica piccola pecca, il servizio è stato un poco lento, ma non avendo fretta, ci siamo goduti il pranzo.
