We asked our Airbnb host for a couple of restaurants well known to locals, that are off the beaten track and not touristy. And what a hidden gem it is. ‘No pizza! No pizza!’ The waiter informed us as we asked for a table for 2! ‘Grazie a Dio! Non vogliamo la pizza!’ Was our response. Still owned and operated by Italians, with a simple menu and red checked tables - it was exactly what we wanted. Keen to try traditional Italian in our Italian city/town trip (and rate them) we went for the bolognese and the carbonara. Both were magnificent!! I have been surprised at the carbonara and the use of cream. But this one was traditional! Not far from the Rialto Bridge, so worth finding!

Ottimo indirizzo per mangiare piatti della cucina locale. Fuori dai giri turistici, ho gustato un rognone superlativo, per non parlare della geanceola. Siamo ritornati due volte nel giro di tre giorni. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, più alto in qualità che nel prezzo. Ho la speranza di ritornarci presto.

30/08/2024: Very tasty restaurant, very good burrata salad and comes with light seasoning and very tasty! Tables overlooking the lake, we ate fettutine with truffles which was unusually good! I suggest! We also ate the schnitzel and it was very tasty! I highly recommend it!

20/08/2024: We chose this spot based on reviews and were very happy to find our experience just as great as other reviewers. The restaurant has a small store-front on the street, but don't be deceived. It has a very large dining room and all the way in the back, a very substantial deck over the grand canal. We got a corner seat where we enjoyed watching all the activity on the canal. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were available when we needed but were not overly present so our meal was relaxed. Our food was all wonderfully prepared and presented. We enjoyed each dish and our experience dining on the Grand Canal.
19/08/2024: Excellent hosts. Spectacular food. The views during the day are better than those at night. An extraordinary place! Unmatched attention. Despite being about to close on Sunday night, they waited very patiently. I will return,
