A small, family-run restaurant with a very friendly and welcoming owner, serving traditional home-cooked dishes that I enjoyed following the owner's suggestions. Good value for money.

Our experience at this restaurant in Florence was simply unforgettable. Carlo, the owner, welcomed us with genuine warmth and cooked us the most delicious dishes we've tasted since arriving in Italy. Amidst the aromas, flavors, and smiles, we shared Neapolitan stories and sentiments, telling him we'd soon be leaving. It was an encounter full of flavor and emotion, the kind you'll treasure. You can tell this is a place run by its owner, with a passion that shines through in every detail. Best of all, the value for money is exceptional, too good for food and service of this level. A truly special corner of Florence.

This is where the Italians themselves go to eat. The staff consists of the owner himself who makes great food. He is happy to explain the menu and go through the options if you ask. Then you get a well-made meal made from fresh ingredients with classic flavors. We were very satisfied and felt so taken care of. No stress or hustle. Homely, calm environment, quiet living room. The fact that the host also makes the best tiramisu we have ever eaten tops the experience. We will go there again if we return to Florence.

So refreshing to stumble across a spot in Florence that feels so real and unpretentious. The food is simple, hearty, and packed with flavor — and the prices are just right. The owner cooks everything himself and even gave us a little demo of how he makes his incredible tiramisu. If you’re craving a genuine, home-cooked meal in a laid-back setting, this is the place.

La Luna Pizzeria Ristorante

13/01/2026: I went there on Saturday evening with a reservation. The place was very crowded, but we didn't have to wait. The pizzas are good, made with various doughs and even cater to celiacs. The staff is courteous and fast. The place has an outdoor area that's very nice during the warmer months.
31/12/2025: During our two-day stay in Florence, we ate at Pizzeria Luna with the whole family and it was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is kind and knowledgeable, helpful, and very attentive to the needs of their customers. One aspect that particularly impressed us was the attention to gluten intolerance. Our daughter, who is celiac, was able to safely enjoy a special gluten-free fried fish dish, delicious and meticulously prepared. It's not at all easy to find a restaurant so prepared for this. The rest of the food was also excellent, with quality ingredients and generous portions. We felt truly pampered and at ease, which is essential when traveling with specific dietary needs. Highly recommended for both families and anyone looking for a reliable restaurant with excellent food in the heart of Florence. We'll definitely be back on our next visit!
