Old-fashioned home cooking, simple frills and plenty of substance. We ate abundant and very fresh tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, excellent pumpkin tortelli, and flavorful and tender pork cheek. The restaurant offers the option of dining outdoors, enjoying the spectacular view, or indoors in a welcoming atmosphere. The wait staff are extremely friendly.

It's the ideal place for those looking to spend a relaxing and romantic evening surrounded by nature and tradition. The cuisine is authentic and draws on local traditions, with carefully crafted and flavorful dishes. However, the menu could be expanded: the selection isn't extensive, and vegetarian options are rather limited, an aspect that deserves more attention. The service is one of its strong points: the staff is very friendly, helpful, and eager to make guests feel at ease. In short, a restaurant that captivates with its ambience and hospitality, perfect for those seeking an authentic and evocative experience, with room for improvement in menu variety.

We went for an aperitivo at this place, which, as a location, is truly top-notch: it's located at the foot of Rossena Castle and has a large outdoor area with a breathtaking view of the Reggio Emilia hills. Unfortunately, the experience was ruined by the price of the platter. There were six of us, and we were served a platter that, at best, would have been enough for three or four people. The accompaniment was minimal: a few slices of bread and three small pieces of erbazzone. When we got the bill, we discovered that the platter cost €7 per person, making it €42 in total. A decidedly disproportionate price for what was offered. Sheer madness. What a shame.

We had lunch at this place yesterday, it was very nice. The atmosphere is true to the style.

Matilde's Pomegranate ..locality Rossena 8 ..Rossena. Reggio Emilia Apennines... it is open and closes at 10pm, this is a pleasant environment that has a truly spectacular view of the village of Rossena, Rossenella and the Campotrera cliff. The great prerogative of this place is the great panorama of the beautiful hills from where you can admire a beautiful sunset. The staff who manage the place is made up of young people... who are very courteous and know how to make you feel good. Among the dishes you can find here are... platters of cold cuts and cheeses... green tortelli with butter, and onion, with parmesan and balsamic vinegar, or with pumpkin, and to continue the excellent second courses... meat with vegetables, grilled sausage with pan-fried chicory, baked potatoes, and many other specialties of the Emilian hills. Like sweet chocolate cakes with a cream heart, and lemon cream tart. All of this is accompanied by excellent local red wines... having said that, let's go to start the evening...and I don't want to forget that if you like everything...well here there are bands that also play live music...what more could you want.
