Excellent traditional Abruzzo cuisine. Outdoor seating is perfect for summer; the indoor dining area can get a bit noisy because the place is always packed. Reservations recommended.

Il Melograno has nothing but good things to say: spacious and welcoming rooms, excellent and speedy service, but above all, a fantastic sagne e fasciule, as well as the other dishes, all worthy of the first course. To amend what I've said, I must add that I was there most recently on June 2, 2025, and the service was, to say the least, disgusting: sagne e ceci, with fried sagne as hard as rocks, enough to break your teeth, as tasteless as dishwashing liquid. The grilled lamb was dried out, as hard as shoe soles, and barely warm. Both factors led me to believe that they hadn't been cooked fresh, but were leftovers from the previous day, Sunday, when, according to the owner, they had a slew of customers, both for lunch and dinner. Now, unlike before, I sincerely advise against it, because this could happen to you too. Sincerely!
