the best carbonara in rome.
the place is intimate, there are high tables with stools, some also have a view of the kitchen. we had a classic supplì and two carbonara a mezza manica and what can I say, fabulous, the best we have ever tasted. the staff very friendly and kind! I recommend booking in advance because there are few tables. we will definitely be back!

We had two small maritozzi, one with meatballs and one with aubergines, two carbonaras and a maritamisu. Everything was excellent! Even the staff! I highly recommend it

What a hidden gem! Tucked away on a quiet street of Trastevere, we had the best savoury maritozzo as a breakfast, with the big option (9-12€) filling us up! You can definitely feel the quality & fresh ingredients, highly recommend!

It literally saved our Sunday lunch in Rome, we booked on the same day and despite this they were able to make us eat in a much more than satisfactory way.
Small environment with masterfully managed spaces, open kitchen and raised tables to watch the chefs at work.
We took a carbonara and a gricia with a very well cooked and "scrocchiarello" bacon, also the egg cream and the cremina della gricia were both excellent.
We also let ourselves be tempted by the sweet Maritozzo with tiramisu which we absolutely recommend trying as the tiramisu cream inside was the best we have ever tasted in a restaurant.
The prices are also very honest, they are on average with the Trastevere area of Rome but for the quality found they are perfect.
We highly recommend the place which in our opinion is a ray of light among the tourist traps.

Small but welcoming place in the Trastevere area, it immediately makes you feel at home; thanks to the open kitchen you can see the chefs at work. Typical quality Roman specialties. We ate a carbonara and a gricia: the bacon was cooked just right, the pasta was cooked perfectly, the creaminess was approved.
We HIGHLY recommend the sweet Maritozzo with tiramisu: despite being a break from tradition it is really excellent, the best mascarpone cream eaten in a restaurant, the REAL mascarpone cream. The husbandzzo dough was also excellent, soft enough.
Average prices for Rome Trastevere but for the quality found absolutely adequate.
When we happen to return to Rome, a mandatory stop!

Went here 2x in our 4d3n stay in Rome. Tried their Panna and Tiramisu Maritozzo.
They were freshly made and with just the right amount of sweetness.
I wish we got the chance to try their carbonara too! Looks yum.

Bella esperienza ,trovato su Facebook ,mi ha incuriosito,provato è ancora meglio,prima carciofi fritti e suffly classico col filo,poi 5tipi di maritozzi salati ,tutti buonissimi e per finire due classici dolci,il locale è piccolo ma l’accoglienza ottima,se passate da trastevere è da provare non ve ne pentirete,fanno anche la pasta,non assaggiata,ma all’occhio non era male

Decisamente una delle migliori carbonare di Roma.
Tonnarelli freschi dalla consistenza e cottura perfette, crema sostanziosa e corposa, mantecata alla perfezione, guanciale tagliato a sigaretta e di ottima qualità.
Il piatto è profumato e godurioso, oltre che bello da vedere, sicuramente vale una visita.
Ottimo anche il maritozzo al tiramisù, l'impasto è eccellente, soffice, scompare in bocca e risulta neanche troppo dolce, quasi neutro.
La crema ben sostenuta, generosa nella quantità e ricca nel gusto.
Il lato negativo dell'esperienza non è nell'offerta ma nel contesto..Il locale è microscopico, i tavolini piccoli e scomodi, considerando che i nostri piatti non potevano neanche essere posizionati uno di fronte all'altro, tanto era stretto lo spazio.. L'appendiabiti tampona un po' la situazione..
E un po' fastidioso, invece, l'odore di cucinato e di fritto che dominava l'ambiente, dato dalla cucina a vista.
Nel complesso l'esperienza è da fare sicuramente e torneremo per saggiare la proposta di maritozzi salati ma il format del locale è più vicino a un mordi e fuggi, piuttosto che a un posto dove poter passare del tempo..
