I had a wonderful experience at Osteria Mangiapane in Alberese. The atmosphere is warm and authentic, with a real Tuscan charm that makes you feel immediately welcome. The food is excellent – fresh, traditional, and full of flavour. Each dish is prepared with care and highlights the quality of local ingredients. The staff are friendly, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes or wines to pair with your meal. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and really feel the spirit of Maremma. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Alberese or the surrounding area.

Very well-maintained restaurant. The waiters were friendly, if a little distracted. The first courses were lightly seasoned and a bit dry. The meat in the peposo wasn't the best, but the sauce was good. The wild boar was very good.

I often come to Mangiapane; every dish tells a tale of old stories and new flavors! I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't been there, and I'll definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to return!

I had dinner at this fantastic place, with a very refined atmosphere and a welcoming garden. The food is traditionally local and not only, well-prepared and excellent. The service and attention are top-notch. The chef might even come out and tell you about the history of a dish and ask how you liked it. The desserts are equally as delicious! A place I'll definitely return to try other delicacies.

26/08/2025: Living in Pitigliano, I know the restaurant, which has been open for 20 years now, and every time I come, I'm always amazed by the quality of the dishes and the truly excellent, warm, professional, and never-intrusive service, both from the waiters and the very kind owners. If you're looking for traditional dishes, but also revisited and prepared in the finest possible way, you're in the right place. The Pan Brioche with liver pâté, truffle, and fig jam was exceptional (the best liver pâté I've had in Tuscany, where it's typical), the ignudi with truffle were made to perfection, not to mention the desserts and the truly impressive wine list. Last but not least, the location in the Piazza del Duomo, which remains intimate and very evocative, and the decor, which is elegant and understated. The prices are in line with everything offered. Undoubtedly the best restaurant in Pitigliano!
