A wonderful lunch with friends!!!
We tried the various house specialties (that's what we went for 😁). I highly recommend the lampredotto meatballs, the tongue carpaccio, and the fried tagliata with anchovies... each one better than the last, paired with an excellent 1.5-liter red wine. The service is very friendly, very fast, and always makes you feel at ease.
I highly recommend going there for lunch and enjoying a delicious meal.

I chose the tripperia osteria on Google Maps. The photos really inspired me, and since I love tripe, I decided to give it a try, and I was right. Unfortunately, the place is almost downtown, so parking was difficult to find. We also arrived late, but the owner welcomed us kindly anyway. The dishes—I had the fried tripe and the lampredotto-filled ravioli—were delicious, while my partner had a platter of really good cured meats and the picci with white ragù, which was really well-made! The only flaw, perhaps a little small for an osteria. Two glasses of wine cost €80. I highly recommend it; if we ever come back to Florence, we'll definitely be back.

The pasta was delicious. The portion of tripe was quite large for two people, so be careful. However, everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. It seems like a restaurant loved by locals.

It's been years since we last ate here, so we went to celebrate a special day. The food we ordered was very good.
On the way out, I noticed Italians holding a different menu from the one handed to us by our waitress, so I confronted her.
She explained THAT menu was for "workers" and "artists" (although I saw old / retired Italians).
Having worked as a Florence guide for many years, I have seen this type of discrimination before.
Nice lunch menu for Italians ONLY (daily food specials--first & second course with beverage at a discount price) and the "alla carte" menu for the rest of us.
Needless to say, this soured my experience. I left feeling cheated and insulted. Foreigners be warned: there are other eateries in the city that treat diners with equal respect.

A typical Florentine restaurant serving traditional meat specialties, but also featuring creative twists like meatballs and lampredotto ravioli.
Excellent food and superb service! All the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the girl in the dining room with the bob, who was truly super kind. Congratulations!
