This is my second time eating at this delightful restaurant. The food is excellent, especially the Sardinian dishes. The chickpea and chestnut soup, the Canepina hay, the spaghetti with clams and bottarga... everything is delicious. The staff is courteous and helpful... some more, some less, or at different times :D... but Desirée deserves a 10 with honors :) We'll be back again and again.

We found it by chance and discovered it was the winner of four restaurants, offering a mix of Sardinian cuisine. We tried the typical Viterbo dishes, including the Etruscan appetizer of the highest quality. The first course, the canepina hay, was a good one, but the carbonara, unfortunately, failed—a shame because I would have given everything my all. The rest was impeccable, with super-friendly service and smiles. The location was nice and informal, and the bill was spot on. Maybe not the most traditional, but everything was excellent—definitely worth a try.

Expectations were higher given the victory of the 4 restaurants, the appetizer of cured meats and cheeses was good, the rabbit was good, the pork was not very meaty but had a lot of bones, we had 2 artichokes, 1 was not good and was left on the plate, we pointed it out but it was added to our bill..... It doesn't matter

The wait for the chickpea and chestnut soup dragged on beyond all expectations.
Mr. Giuseppe, sitting at his table, began to imagine it: he thought of a ceramic bowl, with high sides, adorned with medieval flourishes typical of the shops of the San Pellegrino neighborhood. The steaming soup inside made his mouth water: thick, caramel-colored, full of halved chestnuts, distinguishable by their smooth curves. At the bottom, and with each spoonful, the chickpeas, round and imperfect, rose.
Mr. Giuseppe was ecstatic. Never had an imaginary dish been so real: the aroma entered his nostrils and fully satisfied his desire for a hot meal.
Still with his eyes closed, he began to chew and savor, slowly, the delicacy created by his imagination. To his taste buds, each imaginary spoonful was both bold and delicate. “How delicious,” thought Mr. Giuseppe, referring to the product of his creativity, while the real soup, perhaps, had remained stuck in the depths of the kitchen.
He lingered for a few moments, still savoring the exquisite nothingness before him, then he got up, put on his blue cloth coat, wrapped himself in his scarf to keep from catching a chill while he digested, and left.
At the door, he met a woman who, unsure whether to come in or not, asked him, “How do you eat here?” “Very good,” replied Mr. Giuseppe, turning down the alley toward the square.
And all day, he kept asking himself, “What if the wait for the soup was itself a soup?”

A pleasant discovery in the heart of Viterbo's historic center. The restaurant offers Sardinian and Roman dishes, all carefully prepared with the right balance of ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is helpful and courteous.
