Just the place I was looking for to stop for lunch before the long ride back to Milan by motorcycle. A small kiosk with a myriad of options, all featuring local products and recipes, the kind that make your mouth water just reading the menu 😋. Lampredotto, tripe, tongue, porchetta, and liver served in sandwiches or kebabs or as main courses, along with a remarkable selection of pasta dishes. Given the journey ahead, I had to eat lightly and opted for a delicious fresh sausage and stracchino sandwich accompanied by a small beer for a total of €9.50. I've saved the address; I'll see you again when I'm back in the area 😊.

We're talking serious stuff here. Forget about restaurants with long tablecloths and stiff-necked waiters. If you're truly hungry and want our stuff, the kind that settles your stomach and soul, you should stop here. It's a kiosk, true, but it's worth more than a hundred fancy places. The lampredotto sandwich is superb, flavorful, made to perfection, and they give you portions that aren't cheap. I also tried their porchetta kebab invention, a real treat. The lady behind the counter is a treasure, one of those hard-working people who always hands you your sandwich with a smile. This is old-fashioned food, the kind that focuses on the substance and not the nonsense. A must-try, no doubt about it.

Exceptional food!!! It's now a given that before going to Siena, you absolutely have to stop by Milkone. The Sienese Kebab with Porchetta is sublime.

I ate a Milkone, there are no words to describe it.... If you like to eat a lot and well, you must stop here for your lunch break!
