I've lived in the Massarenti area for years and pass this place often, but I'd never been in. Today, however, we decided to go, and it was a good choice.
The place is like an old-fashioned trattoria, like your grandparents' living room: simple yet welcoming.
I had the tortellini with ragù, and they were incredibly flavorful, while the others had the lamb ribs, which melted in your mouth.
The house red wine was equally good. The service was quick and efficient, and we didn't spend much: the prices were fair.

In Bologna, before the tourist boom of the last fifteen years, small trattorias were common, both in the historic center and in the outskirts of the city. These were typically establishments with a dozen tables spread across two or three rooms, offering simple, tasty, and affordable lunches and dinners. These informal, clean spaces, perhaps a little noisy and crowded, were not fancy but equipped with everything needed for a more than satisfying lunch break or dinner with friends or family. In this context, the taste of time has fully disappeared, and it is rare in Bologna to find a trattoria of this kind, genuinely popular, where a kind and decisive lady runs a fast and welcoming organization, while the kitchen produces inviting and generous dishes. In addition to traditional Emilian dishes, this restaurant also offers excellent examples of Umbrian and Central Italian cuisine. This is also because the menu is reliable: no more than a dozen first courses, the same number of second courses, and five or six side dishes, appetizers, and homemade desserts. All dishes were made fresh daily, with an average price of around ten euros per dish (five euros for side dishes and desserts). Fresh homemade pasta, fragrant side dishes prepared daily, and a good selection of wines, including a third-liter bottle, while the house Sangiovese in a carafe was still of adequate quality. The three of us enjoyed excellent dishes: tagliatelle with meat sauce, porcini mushroom risotto, smoked scamorza with prosciutto, lamb chops, and baked potatoes. I, being celiac, had no problems; the risotto was excellent, and I had a wide selection of appetizers and main courses. What more can I say? Recommended if you want to experience a true Bolognese trattoria, with the many advantages and few disadvantages of an authentic place, not a tourist trap. For between fifteen and thirty euros (depending on your appetite), leaving aside the context (a few hundred meters outside Porta San Vitale, opposite the Sant'Orsola Hospital, on the busy Via Massarenti) and with a little patience for parking, it is possible to eat well just a stone's throw from the center.
