We stopped in for dinner by chance. The place was lovely and the owner was fantastic! The food was excellent. We had Roman-style artichokes, cacio e pepe, tripe, and a fried egg. Last but not least, two desserts, both delicious: torta paradiso and chocolate, pear, and chili pepper cake. I highly recommend it!

A truly excellent experience! At this Roman restaurant in Fiano Romano, we ate a splendid lamb, tender and perfectly cooked, one of the best we've ever tasted. The side dishes were wonderful, carefully prepared and rich in flavor, perfect for accompanying the main course.
The wine was also excellent, well-recommended and of great quality. The owner is undoubtedly an added bonus: extremely friendly, welcoming, and at the same time very professional, capable of making you feel immediately at home.
A place where Roman tradition is respected and celebrated. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

A true trattoria of yesteryear, where time seems to slow down and the cuisine speaks the language of tradition, one of confident gestures, simple ingredients, and rich flavors.
At Il Gufo e la Coccinella, you'll find a genuine, family-friendly atmosphere: a warm, welcoming environment, without unnecessary frills, just as a trattoria should be. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home.
The cuisine is the true heart of the restaurant. Authentic, well-executed, and flavorful dishes reflect the region and beyond, as well as seasonality. The appetizers are excellent, including the Jewish-style artichokes prepared with great respect for the ingredients, and desserts like the Marsala mascarpone served in a cup—creamy, delicate, and absolutely memorable. All this is accompanied by a fine, carefully selected wine that perfectly completes the experience.
You don't come here to dazzle with special effects, but to truly eat well, like in the olden days, with generous portions and a quality that shines in every bite.
A place I return to often, because the sincere cuisine and authentic atmosphere never tire.

I'm celiac, and while passing through Fiano Romano, my husband and I stumbled upon this restaurant and met Fabrizio and his cheerful family! Although they're not an AIC (Italian Celiac Association) restaurant, they're extremely knowledgeable about both celiac-friendly and non-celiac-friendly foods, and are extremely careful about "contamination," which is the primary reason for celiacs to be turned away from the vast majority of restaurants. We ate wonderfully, from the cured meat and cheese appetizers to the typical Roman first courses—top-notch meat, excellent vegetable side dishes, and exquisite desserts! I didn't miss out on anything, thanks to the passion and expertise of Fabrizio and his family, who work tirelessly to offer their customers high-quality dishes, fast, impeccable service, and a welcoming, family atmosphere! My wife and I stopped a couple of days in Fiano Romano before leaving for Calabria. We chose the restaurant based on the reviews. What can I say? A family atmosphere, award-winning meat, and a menu rich in traditional dishes as well as the day's specials. Plus, lots of attention for celiacs. Fabrizio.

You won with the Christmas atmosphere, well done! Family dinner, excellent carbonara, you can taste the guanciale and then comes the egg, paccheri anduja and guanciale excellent, saltimbocca alla romana really good! We wanted to eat Roman cuisine and we were not disappointed. For desserts: tiramisu, an explosion of flavors very balanced but the ladyfinger was what really kicked it up a notch, the Zuppa Inglese, again, well balanced especially with the alchermes, well done! Well trained staff, very friendly owner. Keep up the good work.

As soon as we arrived, we were immersed in the atmosphere of a typical family-run Roman trattoria, where hospitality and friendliness make the difference.
