Despite the fact that we arrived quite late we were very well received.
The owner really took the trouble to explain his dishes to us despite our very rudimentary Italian.
It was very good and plentiful.

Considerando che non è la prima volta che mangio in questo posto posso affermare con molta sicurezza che pochi posti riescono a conciliare qualità quantità e bontà!
La gestione familiare immensa, ti senti a casa già da come apri la porta!
Il cibo, anche se potrebbe essere soggettivo per me è ottimo, dagli antipasti ai dolci…..
Ho mangiato sia la pizza che i primi e i secondi, ogni volta una scoperta!
Fabrizio una persona di altri tempi!

Typical dishes, the first courses and the Artichokes alla Giudia are good, the meatballs a little less so. Very nice environment.

Trattoria sopra le aspettive, per ambiente e ospitalità, davvero garbati titolare e cameriere. L'esterno non rende giustizia alla sala interna che appare invece ben curata. Il menù è piuttosto variegato e di buona qualità . Tuttavia, i prezzi risultano più da ristorante del centro di Roma che da trattoria di provincia, tipo 7€ per un carciofo alla giudia ci è parso eccessivo e non ci spinge a tornare.

By chance today we were in Fiano Romano and my husband and I decided to stop for lunch at this restaurant. Welcoming place and super friendly staff. We ate artichokes, fettuccine with porcini mushrooms (delicious) and fettuccine with artichokes, bacon and pecorino. This was also excellent.
The bread is homemade.. A delight. But the thing that really left me speechless was the strawberry tiramisu, with homemade ladyfingers too!!!
In the end, I asked Fabrizio (the owner), why they had chosen to call the place "il gufo e la coccinella" and he invited us to discover it by ourselves, reading the story that is written on the menu. Well, I was moved. Go and discover it, it's worth it!

Happened by chance, very friendly manager and ready to share recipes, it doesn't always happen, quality food, cheerful and colorful environment. Prices normal. I highly recommend

Nothing is missing if you want to eat local food and style and quality are certainly not lacking...
A welcome worthy of all respect, even in the detailed description of the dishes which are truly of a high standard, at least for me.
Let's say that I would recommend taking some time before ordering and evaluating the expense so as not to find surprises at the end because with a starter, first course and second course with side dish you can quickly get to the "mezza piatta"😀
However nothing to say about the dishes..
