Il Grottino In Vicenza

Excellent experience. We went to this place to drink a beer and a non-alcoholic aperitif. We had a great time also because we were welcomed by the staff who are very nice guys. The location is very beautiful because it is under the Palladian Basilica in a place called Il Grottino which is very characteristic.

A place always dedicated to excellent wines and the snacks that Fabio makes every day. History of art in the venue. Fantasy and recklessness of the innkeeper Fabio.

Having ended up there by chance (two adults and two children), given that it is in a transit area, we chose to have an aperitif. From the aperitif we also stayed for dinner. The staff is friendly, the offer is good and we definitely had a good time. At the end of the evening we met the owner and other guests and stopped further to chat. Definitely recommended, we spent a nice evening as tourists. We will be back 100%.

Excellent service... good aperitifs and canapés

Right behind the Palladian Basilica there is this place that offers the typical aperitifs of the area. I really appreciated the Spritz made with Luxardo instead of the usual Aperol; it allowed me to get to know this very interesting typical Venetian product.

Proprio dietro alla Basilica Palladiana si trova questo locale che offre i tipici aperitivi della zona. Ho apprezzato molto lo Spritz fatto con il Luxardo al posto del solito Aperol; mi ha permesso di conoscere questo tipico prodotto veneto molto interessante.

Il locale è davvero bello e molto caratteristico, i ragazzi molto gentili e professionali. Peccato però che a tutto ciò non corrisponda una qualità eccelsa e neanche un'offerta adeguata: sulla carta sono elencati molto cocktail,ma nella realtà ne fanno solo alcuni, nell'ordine di 5 o 6, non di più. Il club sandwich era piccolo ,poco farcito e insapore: l'unica cosa abbondante era la salsa rosa. Il gin tonic con un gin di livello ma rovinato con una tonica aromatizzata. Peccato, perché potenzialmente sarebbe un locale favoloso.

The place is top... but the glasses need to be cleaned better

Nice place with plenty of seating spread across various external squares - as well as the internal one. It's a shame that when it came time to bring the drinks they presented one thing for another with strong doubts about the real possibility of making all those types of spritzes. The sandwiches were good but with too soft bread and without indicating what they were made with.
