Went as a couple for the bagna cauda day at La Merla. Welcoming atmosphere, limited seating. Service good but could be improved. It's the birthplace of Fausto Coppi, and the restaurant reminds us of him. Overall, a good experience, recommended.

In Castellania, where everything evokes the legendary Fausto Coppi, we were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The warm and discreet welcome is excellent, and the local cuisine is excellent, starting with the excellent Montebore and goat cheese, and continuing with the array of dishes on the traditional local tasting menu. The trofie with Montebore, the raviolini del plin with wild boar, the braised beef, and so on were particularly delicious. The prices are truly reasonable.

We were welcomed and treated by the owner with a kindness that's hard to find these days. Her culinary passion is evident in her eyes. The food is excellent, with a special focus on local products, which were explained very well to us, including any allergies or intolerances. There were four of us, and we had a "tasting" lunch, with appetizers, first courses, and a spectacular second course (beer-cooked pork cheek), dessert, and coffee. Locally produced rosé wine. Everything was top-notch. Thank you!

The kindness and hospitality, even for a simple aperitif, is fantastic. Every visit is a discovery, and today we had the pleasure of tasting a Violinier, a slightly aromatic white wine, which was a real discovery. Thank you!

13/12/2025: Tasty home cooking, fresh ingredients, and a small but carefully prepared menu. Professional, attentive, and fast service. Excellent value for money. The gnocchi (with real potatoes), the polenta cooked in a copper pot, and the desserts are delicious. We always return when my husband and I want to relax.
09/12/2025: Excellent place... wonderful welcome... food to die for: we had a stew with polenta.... the taste was excellent..... and the meat fell apart in your mouth, ravioli with walnut sauce excellent and bagna cauda with raw meat, peppers and cheese fabulous. For dessert I gave up but my husband had the basket with cream, pasta etc. etc. GOOD to die for

23/01/2026: Excellent experience at Panda in Ovada! I visited Panda Chinese-Japanese restaurant in Ovada and had a truly excellent experience. The all-you-can-eat menu offers excellent value: carefully prepared, beautifully presented dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients. The selection is extensive, both for Japanese and Chinese cuisine, with quality sushi and hot dishes that are always tasty and well-balanced. Despite the all-you-can-eat menu, the attention to preparation and service never wavers. The staff is friendly and helpful, the service is quick, and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. It's a place you'll want to return to, especially since the quality remains high from start to finish. Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants of its kind in the area. Highly recommended! 🍣🥢
04/01/2026: We had lunch, ordering quickly and easily, and the dishes arrived just as quickly, perfectly cooked and prepared. The sushi was very good: fresh, made to order, and varied. The atmosphere was clean and welcoming.
