Il Grande Airone In Castellania

The kindness and hospitality, even for a simple aperitif, is fantastic. Every visit is a discovery, and today we had the pleasure of tasting a Violinier, a slightly aromatic white wine, which was a real discovery. Thank you!

Passable. The waitress was very particular, lazy, or awkward? I think the former. Overall, good, but not great.

The much-vaunted mixed platter consists of six transparent slices of salami (never seen slices this thin, the salami must be at least 5 mm), the Montebore are two bites per person. In short, it's not an appetizer, but a small appetizer plate. Then I had sausage with potatoes (among the cheapest dishes in the restaurant), my wife had two first courses, gnocchi with pesto (these are also inexpensive in the restaurant), hazelnut ravioli, a bottle of house wine, the tart with two pieces as big as an agnolotti and two scoops of ice cream, coffee for €60. All this without being able to see the prices. The girl was nice, but the waiting times were too long even though there were only two couples in the entire restaurant.

A very quiet and quaint place. We had lunch with friends in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. Excellent food (cheese and salami platter, a selection of starters, main course, and dessert) and local ingredients. The lady who welcomed and served us was super helpful and kind. It's a great place to stop after a tasting or a walk through the hills with a magnificent view.

The lady welcomed us with a rare sweetness, the restaurant is a place where you feel at home. I can only say positive things about the food. Long live the great Airone, Long live Coppi!

Arrived around lunch by bike to visit Casa Coppi, I tasted an amazing mixed platter with cheeses, Russian salad and homemade focaccia, combined with a pleasant glass of wine. I added a fabulous tiramisu, water and coffee... incredible price and great kindness from the girls who served. Pleasant discovery.

Small inn in the heart of Castellania Coppi. I ate in the outdoor garden on a beautiful sunny day. The furnishings of the internal rooms very much reflect the rural character of the place. Excellent and kind service, the food and drinks are very good (the Piedmontese appetizer was excellent). Price “for cyclists” €15, what more could you ask for? Great experience!

Dopo la visita alla casa natale di Fausto Coppi mi sono fermato qui a pranzo anche perché ci sono giusto due passi. Locale ampio con tavoli anche all'esterno, tutto molto semplice ma ordinato. Ho preso un antipasto piemontese che è gustoso e per primo degli agnolotti con ragù di brasato, anche loro buoni. Ho dato un voto medio perché tutto è nella media compreso il servizio.
