Il Grande Airone In Castellania

We stopped for a soda and were offered coffee, meringues and tart, while platters, gnocchi and bagna cauda were served around to make you want a second lunch. A small corner of ecstasy in the cool shade of the fig tree.

I was in Castellania Coppi on the occasion of a beautiful cycling event, La Mitica, and I must say that this small village is truly enchanting. The great heron is located in the Coppi house, in the most evocative courtyard and is truly a unique place. The welcome and the Service that to define as kind is an understatement, the food is the wine, carefully prepared and selected (the Montebore cheese and the Timorasso wine for example are absolute excellences of the territory) but at the same time simple and straightforward, local recipes made in a homemade way and proposed in a little enchanted corner. Don't miss it!

We were hosted by the owner during a trip with our vespa club. Very welcoming place, kind and helpful staff and really friendly owner. Excellent quality food, we tasted their platters accompanied by wine and drinks and a very tasty wine jam. We will be back soon!

Rare welcome and hospitality from the owner who allowed us to use his tables despite having brought a packed lunch during a trip for our Vespa club. Not only did he set up tables for us but he offered us drinks. On this occasion we consumed platters of tasty cold cuts and cheeses, excellent wine and homemade desserts. In short, "Il grande Airone" is highly recommended not only for the quality of the food and drinks but also and above all for the service which goes beyond the usual and not always obvious professionalism and courtesy. Goodbye Ezio, definitely!

We are a group of Vespa enthusiasts, we found ourselves there by chance after visiting the Coppi museum. Lovely place, great hospitality, we are a bit far away, but I think some of us will return.

Siamo venuti a provare il pranzo al Grande Airone visto che eravamo stati tempo fa alla Cascina Boschetto e ci era piaciuta la cucina della signora Milena che ora gestisce anche questo posto. Tutto e' stato veramente buono come sempre. Buone materie prime cucinate con passione.Ottimo il formaggio Montebore che non siamo riusciti a fare a meno di portarne a casa qualche forma. Locale sicuramente consigliato.

Siamo stati per S.Valentino con un altra coppia. Ottima ospitalità Alta la qualità degli alimenti, ottima anche la presentazione nel piatto, buono il vino (compreso). Eccellenti salumi e formaggi. Squisito il vino da dolce. Piacevole la presentazione della torta a cuore . Bravi, ci torneremo.
