We went on the advice of my daughter who now lives in Lucca to a restaurant that doesn't look a bit retro from the outside but inside it's really nice the service is excellent the food is also good we were the first to arrive then little by little the place filled up anyway really satisfied recommended

Small but very characteristic place in the center of Lucca but away from the busiest streets. Small menu but with interesting dishes also for vegetarians. Wine list full of niche producers, local and otherwise, at reasonable prices. Courteous and fast service. Well done!!

Locale molto carino e titolare molto attento e gentile.
Molto bello e buono il menu alternativo che presentano, tutti i commensali hanno gradito. Interessante anche la lista vini. Piccolo neo i dolci, troppo particolari gli accostamenti, infatti nessuno dei 5 commensali ha gradito particolarmente.
Il resto delle pietanze però tutte davvero buone e interessanti come sapori.
Sicuramente torneremo ancora.

Vi al chef cuando me iba. Ella es segura de sí misma, poseída por sí misma y amigable. Su marido, dueño también, trabaja la habitación con estilo. Ahora sé por qué pocos críticos mencionaron alimentos específicos. Cambian de menú mensualmente. Esta noche, el pulpo, las patatas asadas, el chorizo, la pasta redonda, el pollo marroquí, el boquerón de canela, por nombrar algunas de las cosas que comí, fueron exquisitos. Este es deliberadamente un restaurante poco convencional en Lucca. Son empresarios culinarios empeñados en dejar huella con pasión. Yo también habría probado su barriga de cerdo si fuera un yo más joven y voraz, y sabía que sería muy bueno también.

The staff was very attentive without being intrusive. The two gentlemen knew how to give us very competent advice regarding the food and wine. They also took the time to talk to us for a longer period of time - very personable!
Quiet ambience with pleasant music. Selected, individual and creative decoration of the restaurant. Chic furnishings of the table with a beautiful placemat.
Very tasty food, fine aromas, elaborate dishes, researched combinations and tastes. There was homemade gluten-free focaccia - simply incredible and truly a highlight for someone with celiac disease.
They also loaned us an umbrella for the journey home because of the storm.

I have been in Italy for six weeks now and ths was without a doubt the best meal I have had. Not even close. The menu was different and interesting. The food was outstanding and the service was first rate. The owner also waited on us and explained everything on the menu. He made a great suggestion on the wine. Also, we found out the chef is his wife. Hard to beat this experience at Il Grammofono.
