Il Girasole In Roma

Dinner with my wife to enjoy a Roman evening. Specifically, we ordered artichokes alla giudia and supplì as appetizers, followed by pasta alla amatriciana and tonnarelli with artichokes and guanciale, both very good. With a nice glass of Syrah, we were well-filled, spending €64 in total, which I'd say was reasonable for the quality of the food. We had a chat with the very friendly head waiter on the way out; we highly recommend the place.

A fantastic bistro in Rome where we had a wonderful time… so much so that we went back two nights in a row. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, there's a pianist, the service is friendly, and you immediately feel at ease. As for the food, it was impeccable: we enjoyed delicious pasta with clams, pasta with asparagus, and a perfectly executed carbonara. All accompanied by spritzes for an aperitif and a very good red Merlot. Simple, generous, and satisfying—exactly what you expect from a good Italian restaurant. One small point to note, however: the second time, we booked through TheFork app. If the restaurant is full, reservations can sometimes be canceled. We were lucky to still get a table, but it's good to be aware of this. So, a word of advice to app users: double-check your reservation. Despite this minor detail, the experience remains excellent, and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

Rocked up Friday evening unannounced at 8pm, place was full and had a short wait of about 15 mins. Wow, I'm glad we hung around. Absolutely incredible food, great, professional and very efficient staff and to cap it all a pianist knocking out some tunes. A fabulous family place with traditional food. We loved it. Well done and keep up the great work.

If you're looking for an extraordinary pizza, you can't miss this one... it's perfectly crispy, thin, and delicious. Plus, the service is excellent: the staff is friendly and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is cozy and very beautiful... 🍕

A wonderful atmosphere in a venerable old building, quite unassuming from the outside. We felt very comfortable here, the food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The highlight was definitely the pianist with his lively music. We'd love to come back.

A delicious meal, accompanied by a piano concerto. I thoroughly enjoyed the Melanzana alla parmigiana and the tiramisu. And the atmosphere was superb!

We went late at lunchtime, which wasn't very busy. Beautiful surroundings, polite staff, the dishes we tried were delicious and served without any delays.
