We went without a reservation, but we found a table inside the restaurant. The menu was only in Italian and communication with the staff was a bit difficult. We ordered 2 typical pasta dishes and waited a long time... The strange thing is that people who came later than us were served earlier and with the same dishes.... I think our difference was that they were known to the staff! The food was delicious and the portions were large and filling!!!

Classic Roman fare. Massimo is a perfect old-school host, full of laughs. The carbonara is top-notch, but also oxtail, artichokes, etc. Always full for lunch and dinner, so book well in advance.

03/02/2026: I went to this Roman trattoria for lunch with my partner. We found a warm welcome, good food, and an excellent offer: a generous buffet with water, bread, and a glass of wine per person for €10.00. The place was almost entirely packed, a sign of a satisfied clientele; from an older couple to a group of friends (including a few workers on their lunch break) to a group of women. We left satisfied with the experience and with full stomachs, spending only €20.00. We'll definitely return when we're in the area.
