The pleasantness of the environment is subjective. The name evokes "peasant" environments with touches of copper and Austrian edicts hanging on the walls. Nice fireplace and charming entrance veranda. The menu is traditional. All good but without creativity. The bill... salty.

The style of the restaurant is ancient but very beautiful.
The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful.
We eat very well.
Perfect especially for Christmas.
For New Year's Eve they do a race to get the animals and you can take them home, they even give some fish for each person.

Stop during a bike ride from Peschiera to Ostiglia. Very characteristic place with its own personality. Ordered the trio of first courses (for two). The parcels with pears and vin cotto were excellent, the risotto with radicchio and speck was good, and the pumpkin butter and sage tortelli (a little thick in the dough) which however we struggled to finish. The portions were generous.
A brilliant idea, the sbrisolona with amaro and grappa, the latter truly excellent. Friendly and very quick service.
A piece of advice to the owners: being along the Eurovelo 8 cycle path (if I'm not mistaken), an external socket for charging electric bikes wouldn't be bad.

We were guests in this beautiful place for dinner on a foggy evening for the All Saints' Day long weekend. Welcoming and furnished in typical style with many curiosities on the walls, a lit fireplace and fabulous dishes, family management with great tradition: you can feel it on the palate, very generous portions so... be careful with your choices!
