We were there to celebrate Mother's Day. There was a communion in the main dining room, so I believe service was distracted to be fair. I think someone overheard a comment I made that was trying to be nice by saying they were overwhelmed with the event. After that, full attention ...the staff , waiters were wonderful, so this review is not directed at them. Lunch was a prix fixe 90 euro . It came with first & second course. The first course was unappetizing pasta of 2 choices. Neither seasoned properly and not a la dente but very much under cooked. Next up , paper thin fried veal cutlet that was so dry we needed to gulp water to get it down. The buffet was fine, many choices. I was surprised to have such dismal food served as entree with the high praise of delicious offerings I had read in countless reviews. It felt like we had the B or C team in kitchen. We are shocked, almost felt like a mistake had been made with our order. . The restaurant is beautiful and we enjoyed sipping Prosecco on the outside terrace in the breeze. I'd be back for a drink but hesitant to come for a meal if this is standard?
At Il Giradino in Rome, the experience extends beyond the palate. In addition to the divine cocktails and impeccable service, the breathtaking views enhance the ambiance. From the front desk staff to Dimitri behind the bar, every encounter is marked by superb hospitality. It's the perfect blend of exquisite flavors, stunning vistas, and genuine warmth that makes this place truly remarkable. Dimitri made this an easy 5-star review with his excellent service and beautiful personality sharing his spectacular cocktail crafting talent with us.
Amazing..the view to die for and the service was as if we were in a private dinner party. Our server was funny and professional and created the best setting for a most delicious meal, our first of our trip to Italy. Highly recommend.
