We stumble upon a trattoria in the Lucca countryside with a stunning garden and decide to stop for a bite. We choose to sit inside simply because it's so hot. It's 1:00 PM and we opt for the tourist menu. The ricotta-filled ravioli with pistachios and basil are delicious, flavorful yet delicate. The second course is a caprese salad with prosciutto crudo, which tastes just like the countryside. The service was friendly and prompt. The price was fair. These days, that's a lot of good.

The service wasn't great. The server was friendly, but the lady who appeared to be the owner was really unfriendly. The meal was nothing special. The outdoor patio was nice.

We spent a lovely evening in the restaurant's garden. We had both meat and fish, the meat being much better. The fried frog legs were delicious.

You should eat here! A small, unassuming gem in the small village of Colle De Compito near Lucca. The courtyard has a great atmosphere. The locals fill the place up the most. They come here to eat and celebrate holidays. The prices are completely fair and the quality of the food is absolutely spot on. There is room for children and people who are gluten intolerant. A high recommendation!

22/08/2025: An old-fashioned trattoria, with a somewhat spartan menu and very minimal service. The staff is extremely friendly and fast. Prices are old-fashioned, truly low. Highly recommended.
