My favorite restaurant in Piano di Sorrento. A classic every time I go.
The meat tagliatta is spectacular. At lunch, their pasta options are always excellent. Very good homemade recipes.
The quality of their products is excellent.

We have been stopping for ages when passing through Sorrento to get potato croquettes, pizza and the Ghiottone rotisserie! Very often we also have lunch in the dining room, the meat, the first courses, and above all the gnocchi alla Sorrentina are excellent!

We went to this place to eat meat, being a place renowned for this. Unfortunately, having arrived there at about 11:30 pm, we could not order meat but only pizzas. Here comes the problem, my vote is of encouragement and for the courtesy of the staff but the pizza leaves much to be desired.

Had dinner at II Ghiottone while staying in Piano di Sorrento and honestly, it was one of the best meals I had on the trip. I ordered the Tagliata di Entrecôte and a steak - both were delicious and cooked just right. The place had a cosy, local vibe and was full of people from the area, which is always a good sign. Service was friendly and fast without feeling rushed. Nothing to complain about. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Molti anni fa questo locale era per lo più conosciuto per la rosticceria (ancora oggi di discreto livello) ma noi siamo stati lì per mangiare carne perché sapevamo che è di qualità e infatti ha superato le aspettative. Abbiamo ordinato T-Bone e picanha entrambe buonissime cotte alla perfezione. Il tagliere è contornato di patate fritte fresche anch'esse buonissime.
Anche il personale molto cortese e professionale.
Ci ritorneremo presto.

I visited this place because it was the only place open late at night, and I was very satisfied. It was a completely local restaurant, and it was so packed with local groups, people on dates, and family gatherings that there was only one seat left at that time. Male boss? The person who appeared to be the manager was really funny and recommended wine well, and most of all, the steak was really delicious. The first taste was wow, it was salty! But the more I ate it, the more the delicious salty taste and the meaty flavor of the steak came together, making it so delicious. It was one of the top 3 tastes of my trip to Italy.

senza dubbio uno dalle migliori fritture in penisola.
La carne, di loro allevamento, è di altissimo livello, non rimarrete delusi dalla tagliata e da come vi viene portata al tavolo, su un tagliere con pietra lavica rovente e patate come contorno (se prendete la porzione da 2p.)
consigliato anche per i primi piatti!
