30/12/2023: Even though the bar is deep inside Napoli territory, a quiet word with the barman & a screen was found for me to watch an AS Roma match. The Peroni Rosso was served in 660ml bottles & were a reasonable price.

06/04/2024: We went for lunch with 3 people and a little dog. Cozy environment, the people in the room were very kind and helpful. The fish dishes were good and original. The bill is proportionate to the quality of the dishes.

30/03/2024: Excellent restaurant in the immediate vicinity of Sorrento...cozy and pleasant location...good fish dishes, same fish starters...very helpful and helpful service...good value for money with the fork discount...I recommend for those who want to take a little trip out of town or want to try their hand at a visit to the coast! 🍋🍋🍋🍋

23/01/2024: Wonderful staff...excellant restaurant with unbeatable sunset... Beautiful hotel although arriving by sea from Capri was a bad start For what is the top hotel in the area they have no one meeting you from ferries to help with luggage as the top hotels do in nearby Capri. In fact, there is no help available anywhere to help with luggage and the very long walk with two large suitcases on uneven ground then with lots of steps up to vehicle pickup level is very difficult indeed for older people. Local government should sort this out. Not hotel’s fault. The general manager told me it is a big problem and that the hotel have difficulties with local authorities about this. General manager is a lovely guy. This is a very well run hotel which is absolutely beautiful. They have the most fabulous terrace where breakfast is served. Complimentary cocktails served by the pool were a lovely touch. We will definitely return.

19/01/2024: We stayed for 2 weeks in Sept 2017. First room they put us in wasn't to our liking - but they moved us to a room higher up and away from the noise of the terrace. Food was good - table services for dinner; buffet for breakfast. If you want to swim in the sea access to the public area is five mins - just make sure you turn left at the bottom, go through the gate and down the metal/wooden steps. Otherwise, on the right is Spiagga la Marinella, which is private and you pay . Update: you can almost always get access to public beaches in Italy - just do a bit of research first. If you are like me and only want to go down for a swim, then paying for access and bed isn't worth for me.

21/02/2024: Greeted by the smile "der pizzarolo or del pizzaiolo" we sat down starting with croquettes and mozzarella in carrozza. Both excellent but the crocche' is immediately clear that it is homemade due to the true and intense flavor of the potato. The family pizza, margherita with anchovies and provola with aubergines was brought to us as we wanted: well cooked and with a little oil... we like to put a little oil "raw". Everything perfect. Will we go back? We postponed our departure for a day just to go back again... in the winter they are only open in the "vikkende"😜😜😜

29/12/2023: We found this place on Google map and decided to try it out. The road leading to the parking lot is quite tight so if you are driving a big car, be careful. We had a small car and it was quite a squeeze to get to the parking lot. The gentleman who welcomed and served us was friendly and spoke English well. English menu could be accessed via QR code. Service was prompt and good. We ordered the mixed grilled vegetables and buffalo mozzarella to start. Then the grilled lamb chops and clams in butter with a side of potato chips with parmesan. Finished with espressos. It was a really satisfying meal. Everything was well done. The view is beautiful, panoramic view of Sorrento with Mt Vesuvius in the back ground. We could also see Positano on the other side of the cliffs. The only down side is the noise from the rumbling traffic from the road below the dining area. It's not too bad but you can hear it when a big truck passes. Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying it out. Note: they serve pizzas only at night

26/12/2023: Simply a great restaurant. The waiter was friendly and accommodating, the food was cheap and fantastic. The pizzas en point are perfectly baked with fresh ingredients. During our stay near Naples we visited the restaurant three times because it was so good. Really recommended!

20/03/2024: We stopped in quickly with my team returning from a trip. Even though it was a Saturday night and full of people, he prepared fried food and pizza for us in a short time, all really good!

03/12/2023: It is difficult to get to the free part, as you have to go through a cave and coming back up after the bath is tiring. Getting to the restaurant however is very easy.

03/12/2023: The beach is a little difficult to reach because there is a descent into a cave but very nice and this is for those who do not pay and therefore do not have sunbeds however the sea is very beautiful there is no ciruzzo

06/04/2024: Wonderful meals, wonderful service, made our holiday. Yes, this is a tourist restaurant. Yes, it’s a bit kitsch. But come on, you’re on holiday. And this is what you want. Great, simple local food. Fun service. Free Limoncello. If you want to sit in one of the stuffy gourmet hotel restaurants then please feel free. If you want to enjoy your holiday, come here every night.

13/01/2024: Below average pizza. Local, we could say, "old style". Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely not my kind of pizzeria but definitely recommended if you are passing through and want a frugal meal.

02/12/2023: We found Ristorante Calise whilst on a walk on our last evening of a week long stay near Sorrento. Well worth seeking out and a true hidden gem. We were given a fantastic welcome and the food was amazing. Our waiter brought out the owner Sabrina who makes the BEST tiramisu ever (see photo) and we met her husband Vincenzo the executive chef. True Italian hospitality and very friendly warm atmosphere. Also have to give Sabrina’s selection of liqueurs a big shot out and she was very generous with her complimentary samples, we even bought a few bottles home with us. If you are in the area please seek this fantastic independent restaurant out, you won’t be disappointed.
