Il Gelato di Claudio Torce In Roma

Tried it today with my girlfriend. Phenomenal service, friendly and helpful staff, and fantastic strudel ice cream (highly recommend). 5 well-deserved stars!

Excellent gelato, with a wide selection of flavors, including unique ones like "rice" or "pear and gorgonzola." The ingredients are high-quality and you can taste the artisanal craftsmanship, from the wafer to the cream. The price is overall reasonable for the quality. The only flaw I feel keeps me from giving it five stars is that the gelato is served too cold, which affects the taste because the flavors aren't brought out properly and it's a bit off-putting. I'm not an gelato expert, so I can't say whether it's right or wrong to serve it that cold, or whether there are technical or storage reasons. I can only offer my personal experience. I'll try the gelato in the summer as well, as I've only tried it in the winter/spring so far, and maybe that has an impact. Kudos to Torcè. Update November 2025: After trying the gelato in the summer, I can confirm that the experience was completely different, and the gelato was perfectly cold. Both the gelato and the cream were excellent. I'm adding one star because I really enjoyed it.

The gelato is very good. There's not much else you can say. I got a €5 cup with four flavors, which were remarkable. You can choose between sweetened and unsweetened cream. Finally, a gelato shop that gives you the choice and doesn't impose (especially when it comes to the bland cream) how you top your gelato. Frankly, I've always found the requirement for bland cream, or even the cup, to be extreme (in fact, I haven't been to those places since!)!! Absurd. Thanks Torcè.

In my opinion, this is an excellent gelato shop in an equally high-end setting. The place is fairly standard, comfortable, and still has ample outdoor space where you can enjoy your meal in peace. There are many flavors, some very unique, and they're well-made. As noted in some previous reviews, the staff hasn't always been impeccable, but personally, unless there's a particularly serious incident, I always give a small excuse to those who work all day in contact with the public... a lot of people can be quite annoying. Highly recommended.

Everything good, very kind girl

Very good ice cream and not at all "heavy." You could eat 12 more. I was personally disappointed by the ricotta and berry flavor. Their homemade cream was very good.

Best gelato of my life Eating Torcè gelato is a mystical experience. The quality is evident from the line outside: a short wait that's worth every minute! Most flavors are lactose-free. Priceless!!!
