We came to il gatto sull'albicocco for my partner's 30th birthday and it absolutely blew away our expectations. The communication with the chef when we made the reservation to accommodate my mother-in-law's dietary restrictions was incredibly thorough, and it was a truly impressive and delightful experience for her, when she is so used to not being able to enjoy the pleasure of eating out. We were all able to enjoy a unique and delightful experience with each course and the next course better than the prior. The owner and chef were incredibly humble and kind throughout the experience, although they have every right to be proud of the beautiful establishment they have created. Would absolutely recommend and we can't wait for our next trip to Rimini to enjoy this wonderful meal

Simply the BEST restaurant in the world. A MUST visit - it was a PERFECT dinner. I've had dinner in several Michelin star restaurants, and this restaurant hidden in the heart of Rimini beats all of them.

Dietary preferences: 1 person intolerant to all carbohydrates, 1 who doesn't like fish.
Food: the food is incredible - creative, intriguing, exciting; and executed perfectly. Very inventive dishes with locally sourced ingredients cooked in new and exciting ways - creating absolute symphonies of flavor. It's hard to believe that the kitchen is made up of 1 chef and co-owner, and not 5+ chefs. Moreover, we had very extreme dietary restrictions in our party, but the chef was able to prepare the same number of dishes for them, with the same love and care, and despite being intolerant to all carbohydrates, the guest was still absolutely stunned by their food. There are simply no words to express how grateful we are, and how amazing the food was - even for someone with a lot of dietary challenges.
Service: outstanding service - from the first phone call to assess preferences / allergies and build the menu, to the sommelier and their unmatched experience in pairing wines, to the fast and attentive service - it was simply perfect.
Atmosphere: upscale but cozy: very elegant restaurant but definitely not pretentious - the size is appropriate to the staffing of the restaurant, making it a very cozy atmosphere while also being absolutely elegant and upscale.
To the team: I am beyond grateful for making my birthday so special. You have truly given me an incredible gift by sharing your passion and innate skill with me. Thank you!!! Can't wait to come back again next time I am in town.

I went to this restaurant for dinner to celebrate my birthday. To enter you need to ring the bell, like when you go to a friend's house. Simona's welcome, her kindness and genuineness made the place even more familiar. But the real protagonists of the evening are the dishes, prepared with care and passion by chef Luca in his kitchen, almost a laboratory for taste experimentation. In fact, yesterday I experimented with new flavors and aromas, also born from unpredictable and original combinations. I was sweetly overwhelmed by the food. But everything I say is reductive because in the grand scheme of things even the highest work has much more soul than my judgment which defines it as such. The passionate soul of chef Luca is hidden in the menu of this restaurant. Thank you Simona and Luca for the wonderful experience.

I had dinner at this place on Saturday night. Nothing to say about the quality of the food, excellent service and the very welcoming environment. I don't agree with the choice of not allowing the à la carte menu on Saturday evenings and only serving tastings. The courses are prepared and carefully explained by Simona, but I must say that the quantities served left me perplexed. Taste of raw fish, linguine with mussels excellent, but a couple of forkfuls, and fish fillet with vegetables. Breads of their own production (without exaggerating in quantities). Dessert (gorgeous) and small pastry. Let me start by saying that I like to experience places where there is research and attention in what is served and where the dishes certainly don't leave the plate! The only advice I can give is to review the quantities so that they correspond to the prices charged. For the rest I can only compliment their work.

This restaurant is an oasis of tranquility where you immediately feel warmly welcomed and where your attention is not disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the historic center.
Simona's service was very pleasant and professional without being intrusive.
The dishes are studied down to the smallest detail, made up of excellent local ingredients which are worked with great care to enhance their full flavour.
Several times I have been pleasantly surprised by familiar but at the same time unexpected combinations and flavors.
On one dish in particular I had the same experience as the food critic Anton Ego in the film Ratatouille (those who have seen the film know 😉) who with a simple forkful of ratatouille is transported back in time and space to a distant childhood memory.
The old memory that, thanks to the taste, is awakened and comes back vividly to mind was a beautiful experience.
We were really satisfied and with the curiosity to return to try more.

We had dinner this evening, a pleasant surprise in the center of Rimini, the girl was very knowledgeable and attentive to the customer's needs, the dishes were prepared by the chef and truly very very good, we accompanied everything with a white wine from the Romagna hills, closing the fish menu dinner with a truly stellar dessert.
Highly recommended.
