Excellent property, with spacious, tastefully furnished rooms. The food is exceptional, lovingly prepared by the couple who manage it. Highly recommended!

We discovered this fantastic restaurant this summer and have been back three times since. Fantastic, delicious traditional food. The pasta is truly delicious, handmade, and the dishes are truly authentic. I absolutely loved the rum-infused chestnuts! Mouth-watering. The place is beautiful even in the summer, thanks to the stunning panoramic veranda. Bravo!

Welcoming hotel and restaurants, excellent food! Romina and Gianni were wonderful!! Hotel Il Fungo is like being at home but surrounded by greenery and tranquility!!!

I had dinner at the restaurant, with a wonderful mushroom-based menu. I rarely serve a full menu, but in this case I made an exception given the quality of the dishes. The chef was knowledgeable and knowledgeable. The price was fair. Definitely one of the best restaurants on Monte Amiata.

13/09/2025: We went there early september without reservation. The tables outside were reserved or taken but we were glad we took the table inside because it got a little cold later in the evening. We ate pizza aaand it was really good. Staff was friendly and it seems like its a lovely family business.
12/09/2025: The best tuna pizza on the island, although the prices are rather high. The main problem was the wait. Even though we were greeted and told it would take 10-15 minutes for a table inside or outside to become available, we were completely ignored afterward. The restaurant was almost completely empty inside (which we unfortunately didn't notice until later), and only after we approached several waiters did they take care of us. The unnecessary wait before we could even order: 40 minutes!!! It's ridiculous.

30/12/2025: New management raises the bar! A beautiful venue with refined decor, yet still a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. The real leap in quality comes with Valeria in the kitchen, with exceptional dishes and exquisite ingredients. One of the few restaurants in the area that deviates from the usual, and only, traditional dishes, while at the same time maintaining a connection with the local area. Highly recommended.
