Very good cuisine, particular and attractive dishes, the historic restaurant is very beautiful and the service is excellent! Highly recommended!

Interior tables very close together. Extremely loud. Excessively slow service too slow for a restaurant of this type and with these prices. Staff also not friendly. Not excellent food: mushrooms full of oil. Poorly seasoned pork, with little sauce. Turnip greens seasoned with too much oil. Caramel cheese cake that tasted like everything except caramel. Tiramisu decomposed for no reason. Also not cheap.

Lovely restaurant located right in the main square of the Abbey. The tables are well spaced between them and this makes the environment quiet and private for chatting with friends or as a couple. The presentation of the dishes is very refined and scenic and the portions are well proportioned. We tried the aubergines as an appetizer, the spaghetti with cacio e pepe, the fusilli with white ragout, the beef with tuna sauce and the chicken with chimichurri sauce. All really very good. My favorite dish was the chicken: crispy on the outside with the marinade on the crust and tender on the inside. Excellent vegetables and sauce. A special note goes to the homemade bread served with the meal which I found superb! The selection of desserts satisfies those who appreciate sugary desserts. Again, everything was very well looked after. I, who love less sugary desserts, would have preferred a tart or an apple pie to close the meal. Overall a recommended place. In summer the fresh air offered by Fossanova was greatly appreciated.

Located in a magical place, in the medieval village of Fossanova Abbey, the place is also cool in the evening. Excellent dishes (I point out the cacio e pepe), friendly and quick service. Good choice of wines. Also worth trying in winter in the room with fireplace.

In the center of the spectacular village of Fossanova, in the shadow of the splendid abbey, you would expect a tourist venue and instead you find yourself in a charming inn with high-level cuisine based on more than genuine ingredients. The first courses are excellent, the meats are excellent and the cellar is satisfying. The preparations are all express but excessively slow when the place is full.

28/08/2024: Tonight August 27th to celebrate my birthday we went to this renowned restaurant in Formia. Pleasant location, very kind and polite staff, normal food... so let's get to the point: we ordered cooked appetizers including tuna tartare with a slice of radish, peppers with squid, grilled octopus with potatoes, marinated anchovies, razor clams , mussel soutè for 2 people. A bottle of Prosecco and spaghetti with sea urchins again for 2. The spaghetti was a disappointment... also confirmed by the chef, who told us that the sea urchins were few for 2 people. To make up for it they offered us a sorbet each and a slice of dessert to blow out the candle... attention that was appreciated... in my opinion the location also needs to be redone... no big deal.... I thought it was of a higher standard... when it came to the bill they told us that they wouldn't count the 2 first courses, since they hadn't been to our liking. The bill they presented to us was 158 euros, practically 80 euros each just for the appetizers and a bottle of prosecco and water and perhaps a small glass of bitters. Frankly it seems a bit excessive to me...
