Buonissimo. Location unica e molto interessante. Si respira una certa storia e tradizione. Abbiamo preso un carpaccio di carne con sopra carciofi e salsa al parmigiano e sotto un crumble di pane non saprei ma era superlativo. I primi buonissimi e saporiti, porzioni abbondanti location unica. Tutto veramente buono. Dentro un odore di legna avvolgente molto rustico e medievale. Ci ritornerò volentieri per provare la carne che non ho avuto il piacere di assaggiare. Consigliatissimo.

We booked a table for 1:00 PM and it was ready immediately. Despite the large number of guests, the average wait between courses was 10-15 minutes. The staff was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, and the quality of the food was excellent. The price was obviously in line with the service offered.

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day...the woman who looked after us was fantastic, truly knowledgeable...the dishes were excellent and inspired by traditional cuisine with a gourmet touch that went well with everything.

Located right in the abbey square, interiors and furnishings reflect its medieval style. All dishes are carefully presented and don't disappoint when tasted, quantities that are quite right in my opinion. Fair price for what you eat, you can do something more on the wine list which is a bit messy. We didn't take desserts because we were full since everything was also accompanied by good bread.

Par un après-midi pluvieux d'hiver, nous sommes entrés dans ce restaurant qui fait face à la superbe abbaye de Fossanova, sans grand espoir, pensant qu'il s'agirait d'un attrape-touristes. Grande surprise: dès l'entrée, nous avons vu un intérieur très agréable, avec de superbes tomettes et carelages anciens, des poutres au pladonc, un feu de cheminée dans chacune des deux salles, un bel éclairage, des tables bien mises et d'agréables couverts. La carte était originale et alléchante. Nous avons pris une entrée faite d'un fromage fondu avec une enveloppe crocante, accompagné de poires en petits cubes, de noix et de miel, puis un magnifique filet de boeuf au sel et à l'huile d'olive, tout aussi délicieux, le tout arrosé d'un vin rouge d'une propriété voisine, fait de Barbera, un cépage qui ne nous plait pas dans les vins du nord, mais qui ici était fort bon. Un service impeccable par un homme de grande taille, particulièrement aimable et efficace. Bref, une magnifique expérience. Nous y retournerons certainement.

I'll start by saying that I gave the service 5 stars, but I would have given more if it were possible. The woman who looked after us throughout the lunch, I'm sorry I don't remember her name, was more helpful and kind than ever before.
Upon arrival, we explained how difficult it was to wait, as we have two children—one small and one older, but on the autism spectrum.
They worked hard to get us lunch right away, at a time that was convenient for us.
The food was excellent, with excellent ingredients and elaborate preparation, beautiful to look at but delicious to taste.
The location is made warm and welcoming by two wood-burning fireplaces, a sight to behold.
Wide selection of wines
More than reasonable price
Excellent restaurant, I recommend it to anyone visiting the Abbazia di Fossa Nova.
