I would recommend the paccheri alla matriciana and rigatoni alla carbonara, as well as the excellent pinsa of all types and flavors, as well as the pizza. I would recommend the zabaglione dessert, freshly prepared by the chef, for dessert.

I've been to Il Focolare several times over the years, and have often recommended it to friends visiting Rome. When we were there this fall, the food was still delicious. However, I've honestly never had ruder service. It was beyond rude-- hostile, for no apparent reason. We were polite guests. It was really upsetting. I wouldn't return.

A family-run restaurant, well-managed and well-maintained, with reasonably good food. The zabaglione, on the other hand, is fantastic and definitely worth a try.

16/01/2026: A very welcoming location in a strategic spot on Ponte Milvio overlooking the Tiber. Impeccably clean, a varied and quality menu of both meat and fish, and very kind and friendly waiters. A special thanks to Francesco, who served us with great courtesy and friendliness! A young man with a desire to work and super kindness, he deserves a raise right away!
11/01/2026: Very high prices, but quality food, welcoming atmosphere, very varied menu, very well-stocked but expensive cellar
