Wandering around one late morning in August we found this restaurant, which turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The environment is pleasant and clean, perhaps a little vintage, but after all it has been open since '36! We ordered a Tuscan appetizer for two (cured meats, Tuscan crostini, giardiniera made by them, tomato soup, pecorino cheese and caramelized onions, all delicious), a peposo and a cheek stew, accompanied by the legendary Florentine snake green beans, half a liter of wine, water and coffee. Very kind and fast service, artfully cooked dishes with great attention to the raw materials, more than honest prices. Well done, we will certainly be back!

It was not planned to visit this restaurant. We are going to our apartment. And decided to stay here for two glass of local wine…. Oooh, in the end… in the restaurant nice summer open terrace with nice kitchen.. it was very tasty: dish of meat with wine and pepper, very nice service. Recommend for all. It will be good experience for anybody

We were greeted by a friendly owner and taken back through the restaurant to a lovely back patio. Upon giving us our menus, we constantly had to track down our waitress to order and for more drinks. I am assuming she felt she was better than the foreign table of people she was serving(us). We asked for the check three times, sat with empty glasses for quite a bit, and she would look the opposite direction when walking past our table. She really ruined our experience here.
As for the food.... if you can get past the rude waitress, appetizers were very good, pastas were tasty, Main courses were ok but not super flavorful. Pricy to put up with such treatment.

Abbiamo mangiato bene, piatti tipici toscani. Ciccia buonissima! Camerieri, proprietario gentili e presenti. Tutto buono tranne il fatto che abbiamo sofferto un po' il freddo.

My God, so much stuff! I would say that when I come to Tuscany it is one of my favorite restaurants. Excellent in everything from appetizers to desserts, without forgetting the truly famous Florentine steak. Excellent quality with perfect cooking! Thanks Enrico

Fabulous restaurant. We stayed at Castello Montegufoni and walked here. Took about 20 mins on quiet roads. We made a reservation. It was very busy with mainly local families and groups. Fabulous food and wine. The Bistecca Di Fiorentina was perfect.
