A super 4-star for IL FIENILE What a treat you can have with good taste and style! The event I attended was a 60th birthday party, and I'd say it was outside the norm. The birthday girl was bright and lively, and IL FIENILE perfectly showcased her personality. The service was very well organized, the dishes were typically Italian, but presented and combined with gourmet touches. The setting offers space for an evening with entertainment... the courtyard at the entrance is equally stunning, all in beautiful GALATINA!

We had the pleasure of dining at Il Fienile in Galatina, and it was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the restaurant struck us with its beautiful and well-kept location. The elegant setting immediately created the perfect atmosphere for enjoying the evening. Every bite confirmed the Chef's mastery, transforming the dinner into a true gastronomic journey. Reading the reviews...definitely overrated. Nice atmosphere. Decent appetizers. The tagliolini with squid ink was good. The sirloin Wellington definitely needs a revisit, even though it's already been revisited. Replacing the crust on the sirloin Wellington with pancakes...absolutely not. Mushrooms weren't listed on the menu...for those with allergies or intolerances, it's not fair. The bread was taken away between the appetizer and the main course.

My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance on August 31st, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised by both the location and the deliciousness of the dishes. We were looking for somewhere to eat before my return to Rome, and instead, we were treated to a wonderful lunch of dishes that were nothing short of delicious despite their uniqueness. Thank you for the attention to detail given to my gluten allergy. I even managed to eat dessert. 😊. Needless to say, the location was meticulously designed down to the smallest details, offering a pleasant and refined atmosphere. We will definitely be back with great pleasure. Highly recommended for birthdays and events. Large indoor and outdoor spaces. Friendliness and courtesy are my top priorities, above all the quantity of food. Congratulations!

04/05/2026: I went there for lunch for the first time with friends and family on Sunday, May 3, 2026. We were welcomed into a welcoming atmosphere and immediately felt at home. When the dishes arrived, we were delighted: I had seafood linguine, fried fish, and almond cake. I would recommend everything because everything was so fresh (for example, the fried shrimp peeled easily) and the portions were generous. What can I say: we'll be back! Highly recommended.
03/05/2026: A unique, simple, and peaceful spot away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The restaurant is located inside an old building with high ceilings. It stands very close to a former tobacco factory, closed at the end of Mussolini's reign: the village was created because of (or thanks to) this factory. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The menu, translated into French, is available online, and the dishes are photographed. Note that the lemon sorbet is not actually a sorbet but a lemon cream. We were lucky enough to try (and thoroughly enjoyed) a homemade local digestif made with wild fennel. We highly recommend this place!

19/04/2026: Highly recommended for the quality of the food and the family-friendly welcome that made us feel right at home. We ordered a bit of everything, from the charcuterie and cheese platter to the Angus entrecote, meatballs in tomato sauce and fried meatballs, mixed grill, chicory, and grilled vegetables. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced, but the bombette (a kind of pasta) deserve a special mention, truly special. Thanks again to Enzo and Mirella, who served and welcomed us with professionalism and warmth. We'll be back!
17/03/2026: We visited this place on Saturday, and what can I say? A truly perfect experience! The quality of the meat was exceptional: everything was incredibly fresh, impeccably grilled, and with truly authentic flavors. From the sausages to the skewers, to the steak, everything was delicious and plentiful. You could really taste the care and passion they put into what they do. Another great strength was the staff: a truly fantastic family-run business (husband, wife, and daughter). They welcomed us with a smile, made us feel at home, and looked after us with a rare kindness and helpfulness. Also noteworthy was the price: absolutely fair for the quality and quantity of what we ate. The atmosphere is simple yet warm and friendly, perfect for eating well and spending time with friends. If you're passing through Casarano, this is a must-see. We'll definitely be back!
