Impeccable service, great kindness and availability of the staff

If you are tired of overcrowded tourist places in the city of Rome, come to il ferro e il fuoco. According to my taste, one of the restaurants with best ingredients in the city. Primi piatti are rather big than small! We had tartar, minestrone (big size). Main dishes are just perfect, size, flavor, simply everything. We had lamb chops, beef cheeks, medaglioni alla carbonara, scialatielli al ragu di cervo. My recommendations for good food lovers.

Impeccable dinner in a historic former convent with competent and customer-focused staff. Delicious food and excellent service directed by the maitre Francesco. Once dinner was over, Antonio, one of the waiters, acted as a guide to the historic parts of the building: in this regard, a lovely fountain by Bernini and the enchanting panoramic terrace are of particular note.

We spent an unforgettable New Year's Eve evening at the Hotel Donna Camilla Savelli. The atmosphere has been magical since our arrival: the structure is full of charm and history. The dinner was impeccable, with dishes with attention to detail and flavours! But the most evocative moment was going up to the terrace to admire the breathtaking view of Rome: the fireworks illuminated the eternal city in a unique show. As if that wasn't enough, the staff outdid themselves with a final touch: they prepared express desserts on the spot, delicious and perfect for a sweet end to such a special evening. A New Year's Eve to remember, in a fairytale location. We will definitely be back!

Great gastronomic experience for the new year

Siamo stati domenica sera da Il Ferro e Il Fuoco a Trastevere all’interno dell’Hotel Donna Camilla Savelli, poiché ne avevamo sentito parlare da amici e alla fine abbiamo prenotato, volendo provare sia qualcosa di pesce per me e qualcosa di carne per il mio compagno. Non abbiamo soggiornato nell’Hotel perché siamo di Roma, ma ci è sembrato molto elegante e raffinato. La sensazione è che il cliente sia messo al centro di tutta questa delicata ricercatezza. Insomma, dalle foto di alcune recensioni i locali ci avevano ispirato, dal vivo però devo ammettere che rendono anche di più (probabilmente perché è più immersiva, rispetto ad una semplice foto). Mi è davvero piaciuta anche l’atmosfera che si respirava. Per quanto riguarda le ordinazioni, ho scelto come un antipasto le Capesante scottate e un secondo, il filetto di baccalà. Il mio compagno invece ha preso una tartare di fassona e i bottoni alla carbonara, che ho preteso di assaggiare perché sia all’aspetto che all’odore erano molto invitanti. L’assaggio ha confermato le sensazioni: consiglio caldamente questo piatto. Abbiamo accompagnato il tutto con due calici di vino che ci sono stati consigliati dal sommelier. Il conto è commisurato sia alla location che alla qualità delle materie prime. Anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte, lo Chef lo sa e i piatti vengono presentati con uno stile moderno ed elegante. Abbiamo apprezzato anche il servizio, accorto, attento e disponibile alle nostre richieste. E’ stata davvero una bella esperienza, non soltanto una cena. Ci torneremo!

Cena molto curata, cibo e servizio di primo ordine. Mancavamo da un po' abbiamo mangiato in un ambiente molto intimo per il nostro anniversario di nozze, ringrazio i camerieri per averci regalato un servizio e un tour della struttura meraviglioso.
