Il Faro In Pedaso

Chalet restaurant with excellent fresh fish, perfect service, fair prices, spacious and well-kept atmosphere, and the two owners are very kind and helpful. If they were open year-round, it would be perfect for consistently excellent fish.

We go there very often. It's one of our favorite restaurants. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. You can't get mussels and clams like this anywhere else.

Very fresh fish, super friendly owners, top service. The only downside: It closes on October 12th and reopens next spring.

I didn't like it because the service was slow and rude. The fish in the earthenware dish was covered in sauce but full of bones and undercooked. These are not trattoria-style dishes. It's by the sea and could offer much more.

Very positive experience, excellent quality and fair price

We happened to pass by and stopped at the Faro... we couldn't have chosen better!! Welcoming atmosphere, both indoors and outdoors, very kind and professional staff. Excellent fish, from appetizers to main courses (fabulous roast and skewers) to dessert. Price €40 per person for an appetizer for two of four courses!! Two generous and truly superb main courses, a side of grilled vegetables, dessert, coffee, wine, water, and an after-dinner drink. Spectacular! Definitely worth returning!

A well-known seaside restaurant in Pedaso, it's not the easiest to find the first time; you have to find the pedestrian underpass beneath the railway (which practically runs along the seafront) that overlooks the restaurant (but that's not their fault). The menu is exclusively seafood, reasonably priced, with generous portions and good quality. There were six of us and we had made reservations (definitely a good idea). When we arrived, we lined up to be greeted, and after a reasonable wait, someone came to direct the small groups that had gathered. To view the menu, you need to open it on your smartphone by scanning a QR code. The waiter taking the orders immediately warned us that six people could only order two first courses, which I don't think is very fair. Two of us ordered risotto (minimum for two) and we were warned that it would take at least 30 minutes. On the bright side, it means they make it fresh, and we were warned anyway. As for the ordering time and the punctuality of delivery (which was a bit of a challenge, anyway), there's nothing to complain about. However, there is something that could be improved regarding the service: it is not easy to intercept a waiter who does not follow the orders, even just for a bottle of water.

Honestly, I expected better...expensive cover charge...good food...peppered mussels with rosemary...a gem...unfortunately we saw differences in the service: we asked for sorbet served with a paper cup, while a couple we know had it served with a glass...these differences are unprofessional...honestly, if it happens to me, I won't go back.
