We had our wedding here in June of last year, and would choose this venue wholeheartedly over and over again - in fact, we so wish we could live the whole day again! The location is beautiful, from the cluster of medieval buildings surrounding the terrace that make you feel like you have your own manor for the day, to the elegantly appointed indoor dining room, not to mention the breathtaking surroundings of the Appenine mountains all around you and the Pietra di Bismantova in the distance. There is also a deconsecrated church available for use for your ceremony or the meal which was a comforting backup option to have, though we were very lucky to be able to dine outside in the terrace area among the historical buildings as we had dreamed of. We opted to conduct our ceremony in the field at the end of the pathway, and then dine in the terrace area, and every part of it was like a dream, but there are so many other options as well, between the castle overlooking the Borgo, the deconsecrated church and the dining room, etc. In addition to the fairytale-like setting, the staff was also amazing. The two coordinators with whom we had the most contact were professional and also immensely kind. They guided us through the whole process from start to finish, helping us through every decision and providing invaluable advice, from overall logistics to the smallest details. It was clear that they were personally invested in ensuring that we had a wonderful experience and came away from it with beautiful memories, and they absolutely succeeded. We also chose to stay the night in one of the very comfortable rooms available right on the premises, and this was absolutely the best possible choice. Finally, the chef is incredibly good at his craft, and the food was delectable. The memory of our wedding at Borgo Bianco Matilde is one we will hold in our hearts forever, and we are endlessly grateful to the staff for making it possible for us.

We went to visit the castle of Sarzano on Sunday and had lunch in the BiancoMatilde restaurant, at the foot of the castle. Beautiful view, beautiful location and excellent food, with dishes not only from the Emilian tradition. It was worth the trip from Parma (1 hour)

We are Marta and Bob, since we met we both already knew that one day we would get married at all costs in this magical place and so we did! The place, the staff and the structures immediately proved to be aligned with our vision and did everything to make it happen, leaving us all possible freedoms and allowing us to set up even impossible things. A dream day preceded by a fluid, lightning-fast and pragmatic collaboration on an organizational level, but also human and understanding in sharing the emotions of such an important event. For us it was much more than a location.

Very romantic place. Recommendation for dinner. I went there in September, but I think it's much better in the summer as you can eat in the garden. Not far from Reggio Emilia. We eat very well. Comfortable beds...but the shutters need to be looked at again...

Apericena: enchanting location, summer expanse at the foot of the castle with a view also of the Bismantova Stone, very Instagrammable, fast and kind service. Unfortunately, the boat brought for the aperitif which consisted of grass, fried dumplings, pizzas and cured meats was all tasteless and nothing special - Good spritz expenditure per head €12,000
