A nice little restaurant with typical dishes. The service is good, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable.

A lovely trattoria in the alleys with a homey feel. Since we were there for a large group, we booked a couple of days in advance, and the place was packed. The only exception was the blackboard menu, a mix of Genoese, various Italian, and non-Italian dishes. Unfortunately, they didn't have any drinks other than water, wine, and beer, and the dessert selection was limited. Otherwise, the food was good and generously portioned.

At "Il Fabbro," you'll return to authentic cuisine and a homey atmosphere: wooden tables, a chalkboard menu, and traditional dishes with a few innovative twists. We tried the ancient Piedmontese veal with tuna sauce (without mayonnaise), bucatini alla gricia, the vegetable curry, and to finish, a goat's cheese dessert with honey and cinnamon. The price was fair, and the staff were friendly.

A small restaurant with a warm, family atmosphere. Friendly waiters. No menu, only the specials board in Italian. It's best to speak a few words of Italian :-). We had a very good meal for a reasonable price. Grazie!

We were simply thrilled after the appetizer of tuna and green beans and the two main courses of octopus, potatoes, and cod on a bed of chickpea sauce!!!!
Delicate and revisited dishes, a feast for the eyes as well as the palate!
The staff who served us were incredibly friendly and made us feel at home! They even offered us a complimentary liqueur.
The coffee was delicious: made with a moka pot and containing cardamom seeds, and the waitress even gave us a small handful each!
I'll definitely be back!!

I was visiting family in Genoa and came to I’ll Fabbro on a Thursday evening. This is a beautiful authentic trattoria with exceptional food, amazing staff and service at a very affordable price. The food was so delicious and everything was 10/10. Barbera who was our waitress and she was extremely professional and attentive and really looked after us. You must try this restaurant it’s the most amazing food in Italy , 🇮🇹 xxx

We went at lunchtime and a waiter of Asian descent treated us very badly; he practically kicked us out, even though we arrived 40 minutes before closing time. He threw us out! That evening we decided to return because it was the closest option to our Airbnb, and the area isn't very pleasant to walk around at night. However, this time the service was excellent, and the waitress that night recommended dishes to us, and everything was delicious. I would suggest putting the menu somewhere else because it's only on a chalkboard, which is difficult to see from so far away by the door, and people are constantly walking in front of it.
The pasta was amazing!
