Attached to La Resindenza hotel next door, don’t be fooled by the uninviting and bland/empty ground floor entrance.
The real restaurant is upstairs in a lovely decorated and nice ambiance dining room.
There is good selection of appetisers/meats and desserts with quite a few specials changed daily.
Food is of a good quality but not the best place that we ate in the area over a few days stay.
However the service is great and friendly.
We spent a few hours outside in the bar area and nothing was too much trouble for the staff regardless of the time of day and opening hours.
Prices are average for the area.
I would recommend ordering the foccacia and the buffalo mozzarella and ham appetiser as a starter sharing plate as the bread was very well cooked and tasty.
Good wine selection too and reasonably priced.
We would return again, mainly for lunch and a quiet spot to have a drink and chill for an hour or two.
When in Roma eat as the Romans. Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe is the quintessential Roman pasta dish. Cheese and Pepper pasta, so hard to find in the USA unless you consider Al’fredo but so much better in Rome.
There was only one table available when I arrived at 8:30. Grabbed it and grateful we did. Short walk - from the “W”.
