A quiet place with delicious food and fast, efficient service.

We went on a recommendation and it was a success. Small place but with spectacular pizzas and pasta. We had whimsical pizza and spaghetti carbonara for dinner, which were amazing. Totally recommended

An excellent restaurant-trattoria in the center that for once is not a tourist trap. A place which, despite modernization works, still retains the style of the typical Roman trattorias of "once upon a time". Fast, friendly service and excellent quality food. Specifically, I had one of the best artichokes I've ever tried. Cacio e pepe served in a phenomenal tonnarella crust cooked to perfection and a perfect balance between cheese and pepper, a delight for the palate. Flat Roman pizza, well seasoned and perfectly digestible. Fair prices given the central location of the restaurant. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. The only "negative" note is that they don't take reservations, which is understandable given the location. Luckily, having been there on a Monday evening, we had no problems finding a seat.

Without a doubt the best place so far in Rome. Located in the downtown area, very close to Plaza Navona, and a super good quality-price ratio. The food was delicious, and without a doubt the best pizza and pasta we have had in Rome so far. It is a place that if I can repeat another of these days I will surely return.

Excellent cuisine, friendly and polite service, location in the center of Rome and even if in a very touristy area you can find the true flavors of Roman cuisine

Very good food, we loved the very nice personnel too. The ambiance is cute, really better than the pictures.

My problem is that I ate Gacho e Pepe for the first time in my life and this one became my standard.

Considerando la zona molto frequentata, il ristorante il corallo è un pó per tutti, turisti e non. Non si mangia male ma non ho trovato nulla di particolarmente speciale per cui ci ritornerei. Cucina principalmente romana, nella media. La cosa che ho apprezzato di più sono stati i carciofi. Il resto buono ma niente di che. Personale attento e gentile. Prezzi nella media del posto. Insomma, se vi trovate da quelle parti ci può stare ma non pensate di mangiare il meglio della tradizione.

Affacciata con discrezione sulla stretta via dalla quale prende il nome, scegliamo questa trattoria tra le molte dei dintorni. Senza nulla sapere, ci pare diversa dai locali che cercano di attirare i turisti. Forse perché non c'è il "buttadentro" che ti aggredisce per indurre a entrare. Il menu all'esterno è esposto su una lavagnetta con scritte a mano. Piatti tipici senza svolazzi ma con il rigore di una cucina tipica. L'interno è carino, austero e allegro al tempo stesso. Scopriremo poi che ha avuto frequentazioni importanti, da Roger Federer a Sharon Stone. Quel che ci esalta, come sempre dovrebbe essere in una trattoria, è la qualità del cibo. Ottima la materia prima, accurata e profonda la cucina. Servizio attento e cortese, senza smancerie, disponibile e non pressante. In questo favorevole ambiente, s'è mangiato divinamente. Le puntarelle croccanti sono insaporite al punto giusto dalle alici. Il carciofo, depurato del bagno nell'olio che per noi è troppo, si rivela autentico e genuino. La carbonara è sublime, la migliore mai assaporata a Roma, con la cremosità del condimento e la croccantezza del guanciale. La tagliata, cotta a puntino, con il gusto pieno di una carne di qualità, che premia l'impegno della masticazione. Le porzioni sono generose. Non abbiamo spazio per assaggiare altro. Soddisfatti, ci segniamo questo locale. Vale davvero la pena di tornare.
