We were very pleased, especially with the creativity with which the vegetables were prepared and the quality of a couple of wines we weren't familiar with.
The refined yet not overly formal atmosphere made us feel at ease.

If I were to rate the food alone, Il Colmetto would deserve top marks. The farm's produce is spectacular, the vegetables are expertly presented without unnecessary technicalities, and the grilled meats are cooked to perfection. A true celebration of seasonality and a cuisine of the highest standard that fully honors the Michelin green star it lost.
Unfortunately, the experience was marred by decidedly sloppy service. Although it wasn't specified when booking, we only discovered the "double-seater" policy at the table, which prevented us from choosing the long menu. The situation worsened when, due to a slowdown in the kitchen, we were invited to finish lunch outside to free up the table. Finding yourself outside in mid-February, carrying cutlery and glasses yourself without even bothering to ask if we had jackets to retrieve from the cloakroom, is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber.
Finally, it's ironic that the chef, so kind and friendly, has to escort you through the kitchen to find the bathroom and exit, due to the lack of dedicated routes for those seated outside.
Such a beautiful establishment deserves much more attentive and respectful dining room management. A bittersweet experience, unfortunately: stellar cuisine but polarizing hospitality.

A pleasant experience; we had very high expectations for this place. The venue is beautiful and well-maintained. The food was excellent. Nothing extravagant or overly elaborate. The tasting menu was rich and delicious, and the wine pairing was perfect. However, we noted several service issues. Despite having reported our allergies in advance, we were asked after we were seated if we had any allergies to report. Even though we had announced in advance that we were vegetarian and resolved the issue over the phone, there were some issues at the table. No one was aware of this information, and we were denied the option to substitute meat dishes. The only last-minute solution offered was to have three entrees, which we declined. Allergies are reported in advance for a number of reasons, and I find it uncomfortable to arrive unprepared on the day of dinner. From a restaurant of a certain caliber, I expect greater attention and precision, but overall, the experience was very good.

Recommended by several people, we went for Sunday lunch. A beautiful location nestled in the Franciacorta countryside, a bright restaurant with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We chose the small tasting menu, consisting of a shared appetizer, a first course, a choice of second course, and a small dessert. The courses are extensive, with seemingly small portions, but you're left feeling satisfied. The wine list is extensive, offering interesting options by the glass (perhaps a bit pricey for the latter). The wait staff is attentive and friendly, with perhaps the only flaw being that some are more knowledgeable and lively than others, though overall they're all very good. The price is certainly not typical of a "good" agriturismo restaurant, but it's commensurate with the care and attention to detail in preparing the dishes and the quality of the ingredients. The experience was positive, and we'll definitely be back to try the various dishes, which reflect the seasonality of the ingredients.
