A shop, delicatessen, and restaurant with a high-quality, typically Venetian menu. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. A small section of the ancient Roman Via Postumia can be seen in the basement. Prices aren't cheap, but they justify the high quality of the menu. Definitely recommended.

A very quaint little restaurant in the center of Vicenza.
A varied menu with traditional dishes: we tried the three-course menu with appetizers and cod dishes plus a sorbet to finish, priced at €42 per person, including a glass of wine. Everything was very good, especially the creamed cod!
The place is a bit too noisy.

In a twenty-day trip around Italy, excluding Michelin-starred restaurants, Il Ceppo was one of the most beautiful experiences ever. First of all, the splendid atmosphere and the warm and sincere staff who welcome you in a way you rarely encounter these days. Truly passionate and in love with their work! Then, the food was divine. I had a plate of bigoli with duck ragù, perfect, like homemade, but a special mention goes to the cod Vicenza-style: an absolute masterpiece! I have no doubt it's the best in Vicenza. A must-see if you're in the city. Thank you so much, Debora and Cristina :)

Locale ricavato in un palazzo storico. All'esterno un dehors vetrato. All'interno, sul fondo, una scala angusta conduce al sotterraneo ricavato in una suggestiva cantina con tavoli in vetro comodi. Servizio accogliente e cortese. Cibi eccellenti. Un baccalà fantastico.

Saletta interna caratteristica, ma piccola con tavoli troppo vicini.
In alternativi tavoli esterni lungo la strada.
Buona scelta, specialità baccalà mantecato.
Costi alti per le quantità che ti vengono portate.
