Oh my! The dining experience in the basement bistro surrounded by old city walls is lovely. This restaurant has a huge variety of wines to taste and is great with helping one pair your dinner. One of my favorite experiences of this trip!

The deli on one of the city's central streets is truly excellent. The shop stocks the finest non-Eastern Italian food products. Perhaps their only flaw is that they don't have Trentino cured meat. In addition to takeout, you can sit outside or in the basement and enjoy the chef's wonderful dishes. The cod, in particular, is delicious. The wine selection is magnificent. What can I say? A five-star establishment.

Recommended by a local friend, I was sure I was going for it, and indeed I was. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful bistro wine cellar. Very good food with precise and attentive service. Bigoli with duck ragù is out of this world! The cod with polenta is also excellent, and the "putana" cake is a real surprise, unique but very pleasant. I thank the friend who recommended this gem, and also the entire staff at this fantastic place. The final round of grappa was absolutely thrilling! 😂🤩 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Superlative lunch! Finally, even though I live nearby, I had the opportunity to have lunch in their underground bistro. In the basement, surrounded by the exposed city walls and a wide selection of wines, I tasted the KING of Vicenza-style cod. Delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Maria Giovanna, the owner, was a whirlwind of kindness and immediate empathy! Thank you, and I'll be back! Auntie and nephew 😉

The place is lovely. I ordered cod and found four bones, accompanied by unseasoned cooked vegetables. They charge €3 per person for the cover charge, and the food is reheated.

Everything was wonderful and characteristic, a shame not to get something to eat (and then, as expected... the bill is a bit shocking... but worth it). Today I have surgery at the clinic... we had cicchetti... cheese, cod with a white wine yesterday: everything was excellent. The moral? Seize the day, life offers crosses, pains, and moments of pause in which: never survive, always live every possible moment!

“I had a wonderful experience at Il Ceppo for a late lunch. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was laid-back and attentive. A perfect spot for a relaxed meal. I would definitely recommend it!”

An exceptional bistro, with a very pleasant atmosphere, excellent hospitality, and superb food. The cod is excellent in all its variations!!! A pleasure to be there. It's also perfect for a post-theater meal; even though it was late, we were warmly welcomed. We'll be back soon. Laura and Roberto

02/12/2025: We had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening in this restaurant, which was very well looked after in every detail. The pizza was crispy and delicious (digested very well), the music created a comfortable and warm atmosphere and the staff was friendly and professional. We recommend it and will definitely be back soon.
30/11/2025: Baita Jok is a true mountain lodge nestled in the heart of Cesena. Carefully crafted with wooden details, it's a warm and welcoming place. Excellent service, and very knowledgeable. But let's get to the food, which is a very understatement. We had meat, with a carne salada (pre-seasoned but room temperature) appetizer that was mind-blowing, and a sensational Black Angus carpaccio. Then came the house special, a 1kg Black Angus rib-eye steak served with skin-on baked potatoes and cooked vegetables, all on a tray with embers underneath to keep it warm. The rib-eye steak was butter-like, so tender, but above all, flavorful, and the side dishes were excellent. I must say I ate really, really well. The wine list is excellent, and to finish, a Don Papà Baroko rum served in a non-traditional warm glass—a real treat. To be picked up, I highly recommend it... 💯
