Il Ceppo In Varese

Very nice and relaxing location, fast service.

Today for the first time we had lunch at the typical mountain restaurant Ceppo, excellent food and generous portions. The lady and the girl are very kind and attentive to customers. I will go back again.

THE STUMP! I remember it from the days of the bigiates at school when we went up to the lawn ⛰️ Good memories then and still today, for years a coffee stop on a bicycle “obliged” even just for the pleasure of breathing the warm atmosphere of a real cabin-refuge! Welcoming, simple, genuine; Wood, clearly, is the fulcrum of this special place on horseback among the paths of the Sacro Monte and the village itself. Neat place, well maintained internally and externally, with outdoor service in the warm seasons. There are numerous parking spaces (clearly on weekends it is a little more difficult to find space), I highly recommend it to anyone passing through: once you reach the top of the square, you can find it on your left! Have a good stop 😋

Discovered completely by chance, this restaurant is a concentration of hospitality and good cuisine. The tagliatelle with wild boar ragù and the sliced ​​beef with mushrooms are delicious. The view you can enjoy is the icing on the cake. Super recommended!

OK the photo doesn't have much to do with it but after yesterday's downpour at the exit of the club it was certainly a wonderful surprise. The place is small and welcoming, the service impeccable. The excellent dishes, pumpkin and porcini gnocchi (super), polenta and wild boar ragù, polenta and tomino. Large platter, with cheeses, delicious raw meat, and cubes of polenta sautéed with butter and sage among my tastings. Nobody complained. It was and is, a fixed stop for cappuccinos going up to the observatory, now I think we will also return for the restaurant. Excellent!

SACRO MONTE ,e' un bellissimo paesino caratteristico con viste panoramiche stupende, ma soprattutto c' e' la trattoria al Ceppo dove si può consumare una colazione,aperitivo pranzo o cena accolti dalla accogliente proprietaria Pasqualina e dal suo personale gentilissimo per gustare sublimi portate ,polenta,porcini, tagliatelle fatte in casa ,ottimi risotti cucinati con passione dallo chef Mario.Questa trattoria e' proprio carina ed accogliente ,quindi se si vuol trascorrete una giornata a Sacro Monte merita una sosta anche solo per rilassarsi e bere qualcosa,ma vi consiglio di provare la loro ottima cucina.Un caro saluto e a presto per gustare altre delizie dello chef.Kiss Onni

Mi esposa y yo viajamos a Varese para ver el santuario y paramos aquí para almorzar. El lugar estaba muy cerca del santuario. Estábamos muy contentos con nuestro almuerzo aquí. La comida era buena, los precios razonables, y el servidor era increíblemente amable. Todos... todos, un buen recuerdo de nuestro tiempo en Varese. Vale la pena una parada si estás en la zona!
