Lovely location, excellent venue and service, pizza is standard northern fare. Maybe other dishes are better.

I'm still sitting at the table but I feel compelled to write this review. My partner used to go to this place many years ago with his family. Then, he stopped coming. This evening, undecided on the choice we decided to go to Il Castagno....what can I say...we should have gone back sooner! This evening we opted for pizza and dessert, both excellent. We recommend

We had lunch here for a communion. Wonderful location with breathtaking views Clean, tidy and welcoming! Excellent food and cooked with great care Super friendly and helpful staff! The thing that amazed me was that the restaurant was completely full but they served in an organized manner and quickly! Congratulations, I'll be back to try the pizza!!!

We celebrated our wedding with an aperitif and an amazing dinner. Varied and very rich aperitif that satisfied all tastes and all ages. The dinner was nothing short of extraordinary, the guests were all satisfied, generous portions, very good wine, meat was the most loved dish. Delicious desserts, the wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. Rodolfo and his staff were patient, very kind and helpful. They listened to us and created an unforgettable party.

Ristorante Crotto del Capraio

16/08/2025: It was my first time there and I was pleasantly surprised. It's hard to find a restaurant that offers typical Lombard dishes from the Lecco area these days. It's not exactly easy to get there by car because it's in the middle of some very narrow streets. I recommend parking further down the street and walking. We went up to the Abbey of San Pietro al Monte and arrived around 9:00 a.m. They welcomed us very warmly. We'd let them know beforehand, and the manager had left me the contact information so that, if we were late, she'd send us the menu and have everything ready for us upon our arrival! They were incredibly helpful. We split an appetizer, a first course, a second course, and a dessert between us, and it filled us up quite a bit. Bread and water are included in the cover charge. We were looked after very well, even though it was quite crowded. We left feeling very happy. Highly recommended.
07/08/2025: First time in this crotto and it certainly won't be the last, a characteristic place where you eat really very well, all fresh and very tasty food..... The excellent staff is not lacking, professional, friendly and always with a smile..... Highly recommended 👍👍👍

25/07/2025: Despite the beautiful location, something's missing. The food is very tasty, but the pasta with speck is very salty. The steak and local lake fish stew are very good. The service is rather reserved. The restaurant is more for an elegant evening.
20/07/2025: It was a pleasant discovery. I dined at this restaurant with my girlfriend at sunset, which offers a very relaxing view—it looks like a painting in some ways. The food wasn't bad. The prices were reasonable considering the food and the view, which, I repeat, is definitely the added value of this restaurant.
