Excellent restaurant near Fiuggi. They welcomed us without problems and with courtesy even though we called at 2pm to book a table for 2.30pm. The ravioli filled with scallops are delicious. Super recommended.

Historic restaurant 2 minutes from the historic center of Fiuggi, it is the hill in front. Ample parking and a quiet area, in the evening you can hear crickets and cattle bells echoing between one ridge and another. Upon arrival you are hit by the scent of good food... it's the kind of scent you want to find when approaching a restaurant and which assures you that you will eat well. The staff and owners welcome you with care and attention, pampering you as you hope every time you go to a restaurant you don't know. Excellent menu, both meat and fish, the chef's execution is masterful. It is worth taking the seafood appetizer from the 7 tastings just for the combination of bruschetta, butter, salmon and red grapes. Classic dishes and high-level preparations, beyond the specific choices, delightfully generous portions! The only flaw concerns the choice of wines, the context also deserves something of a higher level. Very honest prices!!! When we return to Fiuggi, and we will do so often, we will make sure to stop by Castagnone!
