The ideal place to spend a wonderful Sunday with family or friends, highly recommended if you have children. Good-quality and plentiful food, impeccable service. Highly recommended, and we'll be back.

I went to eat yesterday, I had a vegan menu, everything was very good and the staff were kind, very beautiful farmhouse with lots of animals, recommended.

Casolare delle Balze is truly a hidden gem nestled in a breathtaking natural setting. Nestled between the majestic Etna volcano and the picturesque Nebrodi mountains, this agriturismo offers a unique experience thanks to the surrounding scenic beauty and warm hospitality. One of the most charming features of the place are the animals, cared for with extreme care and love, which add an authentic and lively touch to the atmosphere. Walking among the enclosures and interacting with the animals brings you closer to nature in a genuine and engaging way!

We celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary in this wonderful venue. The venue has a well-stocked parking area, and the entrance is directly across from Nelson Castle. The farmhouse has rooms for overnight stays, but we didn't use them. Everything is clean and very tidy. The farmhouse itself has a large room with windows—the view from outside is breathtaking—and then, I believe, two smaller rooms. We tried their Sunday menu, which includes various appetizers, cured meats, cheeses, tripe, frittata, beans, and more I can't remember. Then there are two first courses, one with pistachios and the other with ragù, both very good. The second course includes three pieces of meat, such as sausage, a slice of meat breaded with almonds—delicious—and another slice of meat with salad. Dessert and liqueurs are also available. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Outside, the property features a large area dedicated to animals: alpacas, deer, donkeys, sheep, camels, camels, and various birds live here. After a lovely walk, enjoying the stunning scenery, Mount Etna, and the animals, you reach the waterfall. I loved the scenery, perhaps more than the food; it's a place of peace and beauty. Highly recommended.

This is my second time here. I really like this place and the food is good. It's perfect for kids.

Highly recommended for families and children, with plenty of outdoor space, a beautiful playground, numerous well-cared-for animals to visit, a fabulous view and a beautiful waterfall, immaculately clean rooms, and excellent food, both at the pizzeria and the restaurant. The perfect way to unwind. P.S. The only downside is the lack of breakfast service for overnight guests.

A place nestled in nature, with many exotic animals to observe up close and even pet, plus a stunning waterfall. The food was good, although I would have appreciated a richer appetizer and a main course without the pork loin cutlet.

A very interesting place; we chose to spend the night after dinner at the restaurant, in anticipation of Sunday lunch. Let's go in chronological order. The dinner was excellent; the staff was very friendly, the service was quick, and the food was excellent, from appetizers to meat-based main courses. The tomahawk was very good, as were the appetizers. The only downside is the prices; the à la carte menu can be a bit pricey. As for the room, it was very comfortable. Despite the cold outside, it was well heated (well-functioning heat pumps). The bed was comfortable enough, which is a plus considering what you can find elsewhere at much higher prices. If I really had to find a downside, I'd say the soundproofing (everything can be heard between the rooms) and perhaps a more modern/larger TV. The rate is similar to a guesthouse, €40 per person, without breakfast. This can be a bit of a challenge if the nearby bars are closed or don't offer breakfast (customers were all asking for something savory, even though it was still 9:30 a.m.). Apart from that, the overall impression is certainly positive. The next day we visited the "balze park" and were very impressed by the wide variety of animal species, all in very clean stalls, in a very orderly and well-maintained setting. The playground and waterfalls concluded the visit, which was certainly a lot of fun for our daughter. There were many visitors. Finally... lunch. I'll start by saying that everything was delicious. From appetizers to dessert, we loved everything. The first courses were excellent, the pasta with tomato sauce and crunchy breadcrumbs was really good. Perhaps a little disappointing was the mixed grill, which actually consisted of a sausage knot with an almond-crusted pork fillet and baked potatoes. 40 euros, dessert, drinks, coffee, and liquor included. Quick service, and as mentioned, very courteous and helpful staff. The only downside was the acoustics. Let me explain: the room was very large and completely full. So the volume was very high, which was a bit annoying, especially if you're looking for relaxation and tranquility. But the place is very popular, so I realize you can't expect silence, especially on a Sunday lunchtime. In conclusion: I would return for a night's sleep, as well as for a meal (though maybe not on Sundays). Kudos to the excellently maintained facility and the very friendly staff.
