The grilled meat was good, cooked as I wanted, tasty, unfortunately the polenta with the spare ribs was without salt and two sausages on a slice of bread, 12€ apart from the grilled meat, the rest was a disappointment, the steak was 25€ but the rest were high prices.

A welcoming location. You walk in and immediately feel enveloped by the warmth of this restaurant, as if you were at home (along with that magnificent fireplace). Very good food. The place is clean and tidy, and the staff are incredibly friendly (the guy who takes care of the grill is truly amazing). I compliment this restaurant because, with fair prices, it lets you eat good food in a charming setting, and spend a couple of hours with a great family, that of "Il Capriolo."

Update January 2025: We live near Subiaco and always come here as soon as we can. The owner is very kind, we have a large, good-natured, and well-behaved dog, and she sat us near the stove in the first room at the entrance. Typical mountain hut, pet-friendly (but please let us know if you have a dog when booking). Wood-fired oven, wooden tables, spacious rooms, and the aroma of polenta, meat, chicory, potatoes, sausages, bacon...etc. Attentive, fast, and friendly staff. Compliments to the young man who served us at the table, always in a good mood and smiling as he explained the dishes of the day to us.

Reservations are required on Sundays. The fireplace creates a unique atmosphere, especially with the snow in the background. No appetizers, just handmade first courses, and incredible second courses cooked right in front of you over the coals. A must-see if you're visiting Monte Livata.

Excellent experience, repeated after a few years. Getting there from Rome was a good gamble, but otherwise everything was fine. The only flaw was the restaurant's bathroom. Worth a look.
