We had a really good meal, all local food, an extensive wine list, and a very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable waiter. The place is very unique, covered in 🐓 decorations. I recommend booking if you're a large group. You can pay by card. Be careful, cell phone reception may be poor (TIM).

We stumbled upon this little place in the center of Grosseto by chance, and I must say it was a fantastic surprise. The staff were welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable.
Excellent and authentic food, from the appetizer of traditional cured meats to the meat to the dessert.
We received attentive and sincere advice on every choice.
If we were to ever be in this area again, we would definitely return. Excellent value for money.

Delicious food. Local Italian clientele. The host and the staff seem to be a family. I feel like we were very lucky to walk in and get a table on a Monday. Mark il canto del Gallo on your list for where to eat in Grosseto, you will not regret it!

Il Canto del Gallo è un locale particolare, ricavato all’interno di una Troniera, caratteristico ed arredato con cura. Ti accoglie una stupenda famiglia di Grosseto, che si occupa di tutto, dalla scelta delle materie prime, che viene fatta giornalmente, alla cucina dei vari piatti. Al Canto del Gallo si mangia carne di altissima qualità, salumi e formaggi sono locali, il pane fatto in casa in varie tipologie e servito caldo. I dolci casalinghi fatti con le tradizioni di un tempo chiudono questo percorso dove si è coccolati come appunto in una famiglia. Se siete alla fine del pasto ricordavi il caffè !!!! Anche quello è speciale.
