Welcoming atmosphere, excellent food

There is a garden of fresh herbs that smell so good, you just know you're getting an amazing meal! Highly recommend checking out this place if you are in the area.

The two of us dined at this wonderful restaurant. We received a friendly welcome. As several reviews have already mentioned, the food is fantastic and the service incredibly friendly. They spoke English as best as they could for us. We think they deserve 5 stars. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, both inside and out, with lovely music. We definitely recommend eating here! We thought the food was very well priced, although the drinks were a bit on the expensive side.

Discovered 3 years ago thanks to the advice of a particular host of a B&B, we went there without expectations and we found a characteristic place, the typical cuisine of the place and a nice family management. We returned and we found what we experienced three years ago, the same atmosphere, the same quality and the same friendliness. The tarts are delicious, the first courses with the addition of truffle, excellent desserts, special mention to the very large variety of liqueurs and bitters! Thank you very much and see you next time!

Impromptu dinner with a friend. I had been to Il canto del gallo about 2 years ago. I'm not often in town but tonight I met a friend and we decided to have dinner out, we didn't know where to go and at a certain point "I wonder if that place still exists..?" Luckily Il canto del gallo was always there, with its peculiar but impeccable service, the Maremma tradition and unique flavors. It was a very pleasant rediscovery... it's nice to see that certain places manage to resist and are present in the city with passion, dedication and care. I don't have photos of the dishes because we finished everything immediately!

Helpful and kind, even when I had difficulty connecting to my bank at the time of payment

Unfortunately, I only found it on my last evening in Grosseto! Super delicious food, beyond the mainstream! Very friendly staff, everything is explained perfectly, and you always have options, whether it's the vinegar with the salad, the ragu with the homemade tortelloni, or even the coffee. Highly recommended!

Very good food and very friendly service! There's a lovely outdoor seating area, and they cook everything themselves. Family-run.

Mio marito ed io abbiamo pranzo a Il canto del gallo e ,ci è piaciuto così tanto, che siamo tornati anche il giorno dopo. Alloggiavamo a Follonica per una vacanza in maremma e visitando Grosseto abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per le recensioni positive ! Tutto confermato : location accogliente e rilassante , piatti ottimi della tradizione con una carne "da urlo" , servizio perfetto eseguito col cuore e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo . Perfino i dolci, rigorosamente fatti in casa , sono ottimi accompagnati dal caffè nella Mokina e dai dolcetti per concludere il pasto . La famiglia gestisce questo locale con armonia tra i componenti, attenzione al cliente e passione ! Ci è proprio dispiaciuto ripartire , ma torneremo , perché qui abbiamo lasciato un pezzo di cuore ! Gentilezza e cortesia assicurata! Buoni i condimenti dei pici, buoni gli affettati! I prezzi sono un pochino alti per la tipologia del locale! Tra l'altro tre euro per un caffè non è giustificato
