Culinary experience in a beautiful country

I'll start this review by saying that we went there for dinner one evening and immediately made a reservation for the following evening. We gave ample space to the meat, and it was an excellent choice because it's truly high quality. For both dinners, we ordered sliced veal, picanha, slow-cooked cinta, hand-chopped tartare, sliced veal, and sashi (about 1 kg). Not a single dish disappointed us! Everything was truly delicious! Furthermore, the service was attentive and friendly, and they gave us expert and professional advice. Every time we're in the area, it will definitely be a regular stop. I highly recommend trying it!

Chosen on Maps quite randomly, it turned out to be a wonderful place! Beautiful location, extremely well-prepared and delicious dishes, but what I particularly loved was the service. We were expertly advised on everything, especially on the wine, they explained many things to us about the dishes and the place, in short, customer care pays! I really recommend it, it has no parking but the delight is also in walking a few minutes in the alleys of the village.

I went to the restaurant 'La Pecora Ladra' in Vasanello with my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and I can say that it was an unforgettable culinary experience! The owner, Stefania, is an eccentric and very kind person who you can tell loves what she does. She is an expert in both food and wine and it shows in the quality of the dishes and bottles she offers. On the evening of dinner, we had meat: I chose the roast mutton which was extraordinary, while my wife had another type of very soft steamed meat on a bed of broad beans and pecorino cheese which was delicious. The red wine that Stefania recommended was perfect to accompany the meal. The next day, we went back for lunch and had a spectacular homemade pasta cacio e pepe with truffle, which is an icon of the pastas in the restaurant. The pinot grigio she brought us was fresh and paired perfectly with what we were eating. Stefania also convinced me to have coffee, which I usually don't do so as not to ruin everything, and I have to say it was delicious and it didn't ruin the meal as I thought it would. The next day, at lunch, Stefania and the staff were really nice and kind to us for the occasion of our anniversary, which made the experience even more special. La pecora Ladra is located in a beautiful and romantic tuff cave but it also has an outdoor terrace, perfect for enjoying the view. I highly recommend 'La Pecora Ladra' to anyone looking for an authentic and high quality culinary experience in a unique and romantic setting. Stefania and her team are wonderful people who take care of their customers and do everything to make them happy. The prices are adequate and fair for the experience it offers. The restaurant is beautiful, we have never eaten in a place like this, it is very romantic. The food was excellent, from appetizers to desserts. We had a tartar, a Florentine steak with 2 side dishes, 2 desserts and a bottle of wine. Everything, absolutely everything was delicious! Very good! Thanks also to the waitress for her availability and kindness! If we ever return to this area, we know where to come and eat! 👏👏👏👏 Thank you!

Location molto bella e particolare, staff cordiale e disponibile, antipasto di salumi e formaggi buono, fiorentina alla brace tenera e cottura perfetta. Prezzi giusti. Consigliato.

Quando vai a Vasanello non puoi non fermarti a pranzo alla Pecora Ladra, per un sacco di ragioni. Primo il locale è molto caratteristico, praticamente una cantina direttamente scavata nel tufo. Secondo ad accoglierti c'è Stefania di una simpatia esemplare e super preparata che ti fa accomodare e poi ti consiglia sui piatti alla carta. Terzo la qualità del cibo, ed il buon vino. Ed in ultimo i prezzi accessibili a tutte le tasche... Quindi se passate dalle parti di Vasanello mi raccomando la Pecora Ladra è l'unica opzione se volete godere dei piatti della tradizione..
