Great fine dining experiences! Plenty of vegetarian options!

We booked the wine lover lunch and got very dissapointed by the poor and mis-matched food. The wines were very good (rosso di montepulciano, brunello, moscadello dolce). They were poorly paired with an absolute mediocre flan (nothing crunchy to balance), tasteless ragu lasagna (more pasta than anything, almost like a mille-feuille) and lava cake (already sweet and heavy, instead for ex of a fruit based desert, or cantucci). We didnt have a sommelier, but a waitress lost in translation who did the service superficially, clumsy, on fast-forward. Didnt ever asked how was everything, if we want anything else, like a coffee for ex. So we got up and paid the 160 euro for a soulless experience. Eat-pay-leave kind of tourist trap. Very dissapoiting for a foodie, in spite of the very nice wines that deserved a much tastier playground to match with.

I was fortunate enough to discover this place, nothing short of heavenly. A breathtaking location. A unique view. Mesmerizing. The complex is truly beautiful. Wherever you are, you feel at ease. Even in the reception. The attention to detail is truly extraordinary, both in the materials of each structure, including the pool, and in the spaces, both indoors and out. Every corner is beautiful. Especially because you enjoy a view that I would call disarming, because you can't help but surrender to what you see. Near and far. A wonderful peace, a truly natural silence. And every person you meet confirms that here you can be relaxed yet excited by what you see. And then, of course, also by what you can taste. The standards are extremely high. Not just the best wine in the world, but also the food. I had such a great time that I can't wait to return. A special mention goes to the Staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional, at every level. I absolutely recommend the Wine Tasting experience. Unforgettable. Not only for what you can learn, but also for the view of the most beautiful and organized cellar I've ever seen. So, everything and everyone was excellent at the highest level. Well done, very well done. A+++!!!

The waiters, the food, the place were worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant. The prices, of course. But what a show. Thanks also to the very friendly Federico. The wine selection was extensive, not just from the cellar. The interior was beautiful, and like us, we dined on the terrace, enjoying a wonderful view. Fresh vegetables from their own garden. The dishes were impeccably prepared by the kitchen, with fantastic pairings, for us. We also had a snack for lunch, enjoying a delicious charcuterie board. A fantastic experience.

We stayed at the relais and also enjoyed their restaurant one evening. Each dish was carefully crafted and well-balanced. The egg tagliatella with black truffle is worth a mention; it was incredibly fragrant (it tasted like white truffle). The staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about both the wines and the food. We drank a glass of their 2019 Montalcino Rosso (Mastrojanni). Obviously, the prices are those of a relais, so they're definitely not cheap.

Stayed 3 nights and everything was perfect, great service

The enclosed veranda of the Mastrojanni Relais restaurant offers a magnificent view, but the interior is truly captivating, renovated and furnished with great skill and taste. The dishes are truly exquisite; the Campanian chef, Alessandro del Mastro, expertly uses carefully selected local products (the cheese selection is nothing short of astonishing). The wait staff is attentive and friendly. A delightful lunch in a welcoming setting immersed in the natural beauty of the vineyards surrounding Montalcino.

We’ve been guests at the wine resort and we’ve been loving every minute. The restaurant has access to a huge vegetable garden, and has lots of seasonal choices. The staff has been lovely. We will be back in a heartbeat!

As guests of the relais, we dined here throughout our stay. The eggplant lasagna stood out as something truly special — perhaps the best lasagna we’ve had in all of Italy. 🍆💗
