Good pizza with a light, digestible dough: closer to Roman than Neapolitan pizza. Service is poor and there's little attention to detail; those who decide to return don't value this aspect and tolerate the house rules.

Found it somewhat by chance for Sunday lunch. I couldn't have made a better choice! Attentive staff, a welcoming location, and carefully prepared food. Truly incredible prices!!

Sabato scorso sono andata a mangiare con la mia famiglia presso il ristorante "Il burbero"che si trova in un piccolo paesino in provincia di Benevento a San Salvatore Telesino.Mi sono trovata veramente molto bene,siamo stati accolti sia dal proprietario nonché dal figlio con un grande e caloroso benvenuto.. Abbiamo mangiato molto bene ,ilcameriere Matteo ci ha consigliato dei primi veramente squisiti tagliolino con caciocavallo podolico , tartufo e noci e lo scarpariello con ragù di salsiccia secca e parmigiano..secondi di carni favolosi e per concludere tiramisù e scomposta a dir poco sublimi...nota più che positiva per il cameriere Matteo impeccabile su tutto..

Normal restaurant, not much space and privacy between one table and another. It offers a menu of both land (more varied) and fish (with choice limited to a single dish per type). There is better in the area, but the food is still good. Average price. I haven't tried the pizza, maybe I'll return for an outdoor evening in the summer.

15/08/2025: It's my first time at this restaurant, and I have to admit that the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and not too noisy. Congratulations! 👍🏻 The only flaw (which is why I'm not giving it 5 stars) is that, in my opinion, the portions are small for an restaurant (where you'd expect generous portions). They seem like restaurant portions to me. The food was delicious (even the gluten-free one).

05/07/2025: We got some take-out to stay at the Telese hotel and we were super satisfied! The parmigiana was wonderful, spectacular, rich, delicious! The same goes for the stuffed peppers that reminded me of my grandmother's. Very good bread. Worth a stop
