At Antonio Spanò's Pizzeria Il Buchetto, you'll find yourself immersed in the Roman atmosphere of the 1980s, a true journey back in time!
This pizzeria, lovingly run by the Spanò family, offers a welcoming and fast table service that makes you feel right at home.
Although reservations aren't possible, arriving early is recommended to avoid the lines and fully enjoy the restaurant's quiet, intimate atmosphere.
The pizzeria has two dining rooms, including a secluded corner with just a few tables, ideal for enjoying pizza with your family without outside distractions.
The dishes offered are the work of the expert hands of the Roman pizza chef, a global ambassador of taste, who prepares crostini, pizzas, calzones, and desserts, all homemade with care and dedication.
The pizzeria is a member of the Roman Pizza Association, a guarantee of quality for its pizzas, which are crispy to the bite and delicious to the palate thanks to their high-quality toppings.
Antonio Spano's rotating oven ensures perfect cooking throughout the pizza, a result of love and skill.
As you leave the pizzeria, your taste buds will be captivated by the irresistible aromas of cakes, tarts, and fan-shaped pastries, all rigorously homemade.
Pizzeria Il Buchetto is a must-visit for lovers of traditional Roman pizza.

Delicious Roman pizza, thin, fresh, but be prepared that 30 minutes after opening you will not be able to sit there)

In Rome, you sometimes stumble upon gems... but you still have to find them! This pizzeria, for example, isn't the most well-signed: tucked along a straight facade, flanked by barriers, it's almost unnoticed. Parking in front of it was out of the question either, so I ended up getting there by scooter.
Once through the door, the atmosphere changes: a warm welcome, well-filled tables... and, above all, lots of locals, which is always a good sign. Here, there's no fuss: cutlery arrives in a paper bag, no "grand restaurant"-style service with three glasses for three wines. This is the Italian osteria in all its simplicity, with affordable prices and dishes that delight.
It was simply delicious. The portions are generous, the quality is excellent, and you leave with a full stomach without emptying your wallet. The only slight drawback: there's no terrace to enjoy the Roman sun. But inside, the decor makes up for it: walls adorned with vibrant photos, various trophies, hanging plates... a cheerful jumble that gives the room character.
In short, a place where you can eat well, without pretension, and where you quickly feel like you're staying with Italian friends.

Great pizza. Thin and crispy, fresh toppings. The place is small and stuffy. But it's clean and well maintained. It can get very busy so you might wait. But really good pizza and definitely recommend.

Historic pizzeria. Very good pizza and a few other appetizer choices. Legendary cream-filled pasta fans. To be seated immediately, arrive by 8:00 PM. Otherwise, take a number and wait.

Great place, good portions and lovely staff. (Be a redneck, they love it when you ask for the little sister). Very reasonable prices!

Il Buchetto is an institution in Rome's Flaminio neighborhood. Like other historic Roman pizzerias, you don't need to book, but you have to wait in line outside. The place is very small, so we recommend arriving early (8:00 PM).
The waiters are friendly and the owners are welcoming, and the atmosphere is Roman.
Appetizers: We recommend the bruschetta (the tomato bruschetta is made with passata, not cherry tomatoes). Don't expect to find the classic fried pizzas, as they don't serve them.
Pizzas: A wide selection, with the option of ordering a small or large pizza, depending on how hungry you are.
Prices: As popular as they once were.
Seven of us ordered four appetizers, seven pizzas (some small, some large), and two waters. Just under €12 each! Which was a pleasant surprise, considering that a pizza and an appetizer in Rome these days can cost as little as €17.
Value for money: 9/10

A historic pizzeria where authentic, super-thin Roman pizza has been delicious for a hundred years. The owner and waiters are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the place has always remained simple, if a little noisy. Don't miss the fan with custard, a true delight.
