Il Brigantino di Contardi In Monterosso al mare

We stopped at this establishment as soon as we arrived in Monterosso…the food was decent but nothing exceptional…the prices were above average…

Great food, good staff..expensive but worth it.

Quiet and pleasant evening with good food and good service.

A little expensive but very open lots of seating. The staff was exceptionally nice and very fast. The food was very good well flavored and very fine. The drinks were very nice too pretty large so watch out. But definitely worth it and very tasty.

The prices were quite high, the cut of meat came with no side dishes, and for that price, it's a shame to have to pay extra for a salad or fries... On the other hand, the pasta alle vongole was very, very good! And the price doesn't detract from the quality of the meat served.

Abbiamo pranzato con amici al Brigantino. Abbiamo trovato un atmosfera familiare e un ottimo pesce . Torneremo sicuramente.

Quando sono a Monterosso, vengo sempre al Brigantino. È come essere a casa, cibo buonissimo e servizio ottimo e rapido. Da non perdere!

So I read the reviews before coming here and my tour guy recommended the place. I decided because a lot of the reviews look like people were being unfair as they were a bit bent out of shape thay i would give it a go none the less. And look, dont expect a 10/10 meal. It was okay, and most importantly put food in our bellys. I've tried many pesto pastas and honestly it was maybe a 5.5/6 out of 10 so like, not awful. The panna cotta was delicious albeit small. The bread tasted a bit stale, the mixed fish entre was bland and the wine was very acidic. Again, if you just want something to eat, its a fine place to go and the staff were friendly enough but if you want to experience food then id suggest going elsewhere. It was a solid 6/10 overall. Not bad and pretty okay priced considering what you get and it compared to everywhere elses prices! This is not a knock at all to the venue.
