A stop on our walk turned into a delicious lunch. Friendly service (owner?), good wine, and excellent local seasonal dishes. Highly recommended.

A business lunch break in a quiet restaurant in the center of Castelnuovo Calcea with an outdoor courtyard, at a negotiated price. The trio of appetizers was delicious, including the tajarin with roast beef sauce. Fresh bun. A glass of wine and coffee. All for €28.

Dining at Il Boschetto di Vignole is like being invited to Dario's home. The food is fresh and clearly made with care for the diner. Dario made this a wonderful experience for my family and he did the same for everyone around us.

Excellent starters, first courses and desserts, good second courses, quality raw materials, in my opinion. Friendly and pleasant staff who guide you, something never found in other places. The personalization of the dish recommendations based on the starters taken is an excellent presentation card. PS happened without a reservation, midweek and at midday.

26/10/2025: A small village within a village: a family-run restaurant and rooms, beautifully maintained in an antique style and tastefully decorated, brimming with charm and the flavors of times gone by. The rooms are beautiful, with exposed beams. Comfortable beds and spacious Italian-style showers (without a shower tray). A selection of local wines and an exceptional dinner. A perfect stopover just 15 minutes from Asti. The outdoor jacuzzi (we didn't use it because it was a bit chilly) is the icing on the cake for a lovely weekend with friends. Indoor parking in the courtyard for three or four cars.
19/08/2025: I stayed a few weeks ago for both the accommodation and the restaurant, and we had a really great time. The staff is extremely welcoming and makes you feel right at home. We also loved the food! We'd definitely like to return!
